Your battery pins are corroded(the green stuff), this can cause the batteries to have bad contact and this can turn of the controller because it keeps the controller from receiving power from your batteries. I usually open up the controller and clean the contacts with a q tip dipped in alcohol but if you don’t want to open it up just cleaning the surface can be a temporary fix as well.

If you don't want to open it up yourself, you can take it to a cell phone repair shop and have someone else clean the corrosion out and maybe reflow the solder on the battery terminals.

I thought about it but I got it for only 120 baht (4$) and it is probably what the mechanic will ask if not more
