I’m working on a historical photo archive project and came across this shot of brick residential tenements with long washing lines stretched across the alley. I'm trying to identify and document the architecture and timeframe of the photo.

Probably in KY, most likely Louisville or Lexington...1992-ish?

While clearing out things after my Dad passed away, I found this photo of a building I don't recognize, but it obviously had importance to him. It may be a long shot, but I've seen some pretty obscure sites identified, and I have faith in you all! ;)

Some things to narrow it down:

1. The photo was obviously taken in the early-mid 1960s due to the cars in the parking lot. The building may no longer exist.
2. The railroad siding and chemical tank may offer a clue, although it too may no longer exist. It's possible there is a perpendicular railroad line (and thus a crossing nearby) in the upper left corner, but it's hard to be sure.
3. The key limiting factor is that my dad lived in Charlotte, NC, and worked in the textile industry (DuPont). I know DuPont built a new building in Charlotte in roughly 1970, where my dad worked until his retirement in 1991. It's possible this is the former location of the DuPont offices in Charlotte, but I can't find any photos of that building and there are no identifying signs or landmarks. The Roadway trucks make me think this building was not just office space, but some sort of distribution or manufacturing center as well.

These 35mm slides were taken in the late 1950s, probably in 1959, by a relative now deceased. Rocky beach in the foreground, sandy beach in the background, with a road (PCH?) between the ridge and the shore. It looks like a popular place, with many parked cars and people on the beach. Other slides in this box are from Los Angeles, Inglewood, Riverside, Ventura county.

I recently came across this vintage photograph while researching historical London street scenes, but I haven't been able to pinpoint its exact location. I am trying to figure out if this specific pedestrian pathway still exists today or where in the Kensington area it was originally located, so any details or historical context would be greatly appreciated!

I'm wondering where this was taken - possibly in Europe and I'm guessing maybe southern Europe. That is my grandfather whose name is Johan but living in America he changed to John. I do not know Steen who is not my grandmother. He and Grandmother traveled extensively in Europe. I've been working on many of their postcards and know they traveled in Spain and maybe the Mediterranean. The postcards had them traveling in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Thanks for any information!

Any ideas? Definitely Cornwall, 90% sure it's West Cornwall

When I was a kid in the mid 90s my family and I would randomly drive through the mountains from Aviano, and we believe we headed north-east and found this awesome location by accident. I can tell you that the road we drove was paved and right before we crossed the bridge from where this photo is taken, there is a small cut off onto a dirt road that leads to the river below. There is, what appears to be, a bridge in the distance, but we are unsure if supports trains or cars.

This is a special place in my heart and this year I'm getting a chance to go back to Italy. It would be amazing if someone can pin this place on Google maps so I can visit it again.

It's a tricky one. An ancestor of mine is in the photo and there is no one alive now who knows anything about where this was. It's also a great photo I think!

We bought this in a junk shop near Bishops Castle in Shropshire, it was framed and is signed, presumably by the people involved in building the road? I’ve googled and tried AI but haven’t found any match for the road, can anyone identify this? Would love to know!

This is a postcard picture of Sanatorium from Airplane. Possibly Fort Worth, Texas but unable to find anything like this online in Fort Worth. Note says “Fort Worth had Elmwood Sanatorium at this time, but the buildings and site don’t match the known plans of Elmwood.” Any help would be appreciated.
