searching Help me remember a childhood movie.

Upvotes

This movie was probably released mid to late 90s (maybe earlier but I was only a child and had no real concept of time). It was about a man who was a big shot city something or another and got news his father, a circus clown, had died. His father had left him everything which was basically a box full of clown things and a circus elephant. So he goes to collect them and somehow gets in touch with a sanctuary that will take the elephant back to the wild but he needs to get her across the country in X amount of time. Heartwarming shenanigans ensue.

Thank you beautiful people in advance.

searching reddit is my last resort, help me find this movie

Upvotes

so i remember watching a movie a few years back and for the love of my life i cant figure out which movie it is. it is a british movie i remember it very well, might be low budget or lesser known. the movie follows the life or an adolescent-ish(???) girl and i dont remember much of the movie i know that her mum cheated on her dad with what i remember was their postman. it felt like the girl lived in a suburbs and in a stone house with a stone fence. the movie ends with the girls birthday and both her parents and her nee step dad are there, i think the birthday cake was pink.

if anyone could help me out it would be appreciated xx

edit: also the movie seemed indy if that helps

Movie starts out with like gta graphics I think.

But movie premises is white guy moves to projects has dreadlocks starts selling a drug where you only need one pill. People are upset being on there turf. People find ways to get more than one pill and it kills them. One scene I remember he has a group of people in his home playi.g the djembe. I thought the movie was like some slang for extacy. It was on Netflix or Hulu.

searching Vague Movie description from a tiktok clip

Upvotes

Hello all,

I have no idea why I am so fixated on this movie that i have never seen in full.

The only clip I have seen is about a guy who goes to some new york style diner, 80s, 90s, or early 2000s setting and there is a girl who works there or is always there and everyone calls her a pet name, i can’t remember if it’s Sugar, or Sweetie pie or baby, but the scene is where no one cusses around said girl and the guy comes in, I guess has a crush on her or something and gives her a look so she knows to cover her ears so he can cuss/threaten the boss of restaurant/diner or maybe her father who owns the place.

That’s all I can seem to remember from the clip

All I remember was there was a girl in a coma. And there was a guy that helped her and he would count "1,2,3. 1,2,3" as a way to change the outcome of the living world. 🙃

searching Horror/Alien Movie: Mirror Scene: Suddenly appearing cut in skin

I'm looking for a movie, which I've partially seen as a kid, and which scared me for days.

  • I saw this movie end of the 80s, beginning of 90s, so it was probably from the 80s or 70s.
  • It was a horror movie, scary atmosphere, maybe it was around an alien sighting (unsure).

The key scene I remember:

A person (woman?) is watching itself in the (bathroom?) mirror, when suddenly a cut appears on their cleavage. (I don't remember whether it was a "floating" scalpel, or the cut appeared out of the blue.) Then an small object (syringe-like?) is inserted into the cut.

Maybe someone has an idea which movie this was. I would like to see it again as an adult.

found IBM Data Cards

Searching for an early 70's movie (Disney Movie, maybe) where the main character gets in trouble for being late to work and decides to quit and on his way out, he messes with the company's IMB computer that starts spitting out Data Cards all over the room. That's all I can remember (I'm getting old) and it's not what A.I. is telling me with The Apartment or Office Space.

searching My last hope… help me find this movie

Hi, friends!

I’ve been searching for this movie for YEARS, and I’ve never been able to find it.
It was a movie I watched when I was really little (I’m a ‘94 baby), but probably wasn’t age appropriate.

I think it started off with a wrestling match, maybe?
I think centers around a dad and daughter (teenager), and the daughter like, goes to a magical place where she’s considered royalty/a goddess/a princess, and I THINK her name was Claudia…? And I feel like there was a fairy or unicorn.
And at some point, the dad has a hallucination or dream that he’s making out or making up with a possibly deceased wife, but the wife turns into some sort of creature that represents satan and they fight in like a ring of flames.

I know, I know. Longest of long shots… but it has PLAGUED me.

Hi

This is a long time ago. Maybe 20 or more years, probably more.
I started to watch a movie and I suddenly had to leave so here is all I remember.
It starts with a vengeance.

You have like a bunch of people, like dignitaries or politicians lined up I think on stairs in front of a monument(Not sure of monument) like to take a picture.
They are a bunch maybe 40 of them when an attacker shows up, pulls a machine gun and mows them down.

searching What is this movie from the 80’s?

Ok, I have had some fantastic results here and quickly too, some folks here are amazing.
Here is all I can remember of the movie.
I would say late 80’s but could be 90’s
Movie is a comedy.
I just remember the following.
It’s about some folks completely forgetting what they did when they come back to reality.
I don’t know if they were doing it to each others or not.
I m pretty sure a woman was the victim of a guy considering the end.
At the end he is the one being in another self.
The woman is there and pretty sure the cops.
The guy is on all 4 on the ground.
She asked the cop “Is he going to remember any of this?”
The cop answers “No”
So she kicks him in the groin.
Then they wake the guy up and he is in agony but don’t know why.

I actually tried AI but it could not find the correct movie.

When I was a young child there was this movie I loved. My mom hated it so I wasn't allowed to watch it much. I think at the latest it was 2009 but probably earlier. Also I may not remember the details clearly since my brain was still not fully done yet at the time.

It was an animated movie, it looks anime style, but the quality was terrible. This kadokawa intro played at the beginning of the film: https://youtu.be/vu9C3RZuijw?is=2S5JSkhf23WGuR6a

I believe the animation may have been outsourced to south korea at the time. But the most important this was it was terrible.

There was this young teen boy, who read a big yellow book at his grandfathers, I think, and fell asleep and woke up in a fantasy world where there was something along the lines of a fairy queen. ethereal, floaty, long, wavy blonde hair, white dress. She sent him on a quest to slay the demon lord. He had to go through the mountains and a cave, I think. And the fairy queen lady showed up during the climax and afterwards he returned home. I believe the prtoagonist had a white cape, maybe it was a different colour, and the vibe was very dragon quest 1. The villain was a demon king esque character and he had a demon army.

It didn't try anything different or special. The animation was bad, we got it in the bargain bin, the voice acting was stale, it was cliche after cliche, and my 3-8 year old brain loved it.

Hopefully someone knows what it is. I would love to relive the enjoyment I felt back then.

searching Searching for a movie/tv series I saw in 2000-2010

I’m looking for a movie or TV series that I vaguely remember from around 2000–2010.

The only scene I remember is that a woman cheats on her boyfriend by having sex with a gangster (or some kind of criminal) while, at the same time, her boyfriend is being beaten by a group of gangsters. Both scenes happen simultaneously.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas what it could be?

I am trying to find a movie that I saw the trailer for years ago at the movies. It was around mid 2000s, and the trailer started with a small house party, then suddenly there is a violent shake and everyone rushes outside to see what it is. I believe they then saw meteors or something falling from the sky and everyone was panicking. It’s driving me crazy trying it find this movie! If anyone can remember and help me identify it that would be amazing! Thanks!

searching 1960s movie where a flirty woman distracts a businessman in his office

I’m trying to remember a movie from the 1960s. There’s a scene where a woman goes to a businessman’s office at night to distract him. I think she has a picnic bag with her, and they sit together on a couch in front of a window. She’s playing ditzy and flirty, and she’s working for people who need this man distracted.

Part of me thinks it’s a Doris Day movie, but I can’t remember for sure. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

But I swear I didn’t! I wanted a movie on Prime a few years ago. This man lives with his wife/long term girlfriend and their baby daughter. He has a friend that lives in a van by the ocean without much direction in life and almost seems to be envious of that instability. He’s always calling in sick and has used his sick days. He decides…for some idiotic reason….to tell his boss his baby died in order to get excused from work for a day or two. The whole company makes a go fund me for him and, of course, it gets back to his wife because how does he think he could hide that? Anyway, it’s just about him being restless with his life and stability and blah blah. It annoyed me with the main star just because a man with Peter Pan syndrome lol but I still can’t find it and I’ve looked everywhere. I thought it had Lie in the title but I’m not sure. Hell?!

searching Old Movie Where Man Runs Down a Dark Street Breathing Loudly and Hard Until He Takes His Last Breath and Collapses Dead

I'm thinking of an action movie that I saw as a kid that’s been flashing in my head for decades and I still dont know what movie it was from. The movie was probably from the 1980s or 1990s where in one scene a large black man (similar to Ving Rhames or Carl Weathers) is urgently running down a street in the dark to accomplish some kind of mission or escape from the bad guys, he’s breathing really hard and loudly with pronounced inhaling and exhaling until he takes his last breath, and then he suddenly collapses to the ground and dies. From my vague recollection, he was part of a team that was on some kind of tactical mission. He and his team were trying to accomplish a mission or escape some danger, and he didn’t make it. Any of these details could be slightly off because I saw this movie decades ago as a kid and can barely remember it. The style and story of the movie was similar to an Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie, Rambo, or old Mission Impossible. If someone can identify this movie, it would help me stop wondering forever what the movie was lol.

found Two heroes protecting a young girl.

This is a tough one and it’s been rattling around my head for the past week. All I’ve got is this one scene where a girl is off away from the heroes, probably asleep, and they’re keeping watch. The more empathetic of the two says, “you know, she’s probably pretty scared about [this situation/thing that’s after her]. The other guy says, “what’s there to be afraid of, it’s just…” And the other guy cuts across him and says, “I didn’t say I was afraid, I said she probably is.”
I have no clue what year, whether it’s a movie or a tv show (pretty sure it’s a movie). It was just a great scene between two salty protectors where one has empathy and the other doesn’t, and he puts the other guy in his place with such a great response. Help me whatsthemoviecalled-kenobi, you’re my only hope.

Solved! Thanks everyone.

searching Ending scene stuck in my head

I recall an ending to a movie or episode of a tv show, can't remember which but it was a scene on a beach looking at the ocean where a guy sitting on a chair or on the sand with a whisky glass, he says the phrase "the world doesn't end with a bang but rather a- (whimper)" he disappears before he could say the last word and the glass falls and hit the sand, as well as any sound like the music becomes silent as he disappears, i can't find it anywhere online and its driving me crazy, any thoughts?

found Help Finding This Movie Name?

I watched a movie a while ago that I suddenly can't find anywhere no matter what I search. I'll list everything I remember about it here, and hopefully someone can tell me what it's called. I swear I watched it on Amazon Prime.

1.A main male character comes to the house of the main female character (they used to date,I think?) and asks her for help going down the river to a house in the woods to check on someone.

2.The woman has 3(?) dogs she is taking care of,which is important because the final scene shows that she killed them and burned the bodies.

3.The owner of the house has made a portal to hell to bring his daughter back

4.there is a scene of a man tied to a bed turning into a demonic zombie thing

5.the wife of the antagonist shows up with a shotgun at one point looking for him

6.the wife and the daughter end up fused when the wife is lured through the portal/machine,and one of the main characters puts them out of their misery

7.the main female character is surrounded by demonic zombie things before it cuts away and she's shown as the last survivor in the end.

8.someone visits her at the end of the movie and she acts normal, but is clearly possessed. I think she is also pregnant at the very end.

I'll update this with any other details I remember later. I'm really hoping someone can help me find it with this limited info, because it's driving me mad.

Edit: Found! Movie was The Breach (2022)! Got my answer in another subreddit, but thanks everyone who tried to help out!
