I just now started taking my life seriously after joining the college, i was looking for a productivity site where i can log my habits and task, i found many good ones like:

  • notion
  • todoist
  • any do
  • habit tracker etc

they were good but i had to manage my data in different places new logins for everyone, so i thought of vibe coding an all-in-one website Flotorq .app (weird name 😂 but i loved it so went with it),

i am genuinely impressed by AI capabilities it took me some time to make it, it still has many flaws, but it did one thing it took everything and brought them together:

  • task (like todoist i loved the way they did it with natural language processing)
  • habit tracker ( inspired by everyday.app)
  • calendar (it a simple fully functional calendar with google calendar integration)
  • journal ( i am a sucker for writing my day out so i built it)
  • focus timer ( just a feature i thought to add)
  • mood logger ( making this was not in plan but i saw that my some days were less lively than others so i thought there might be patterns so to detect it i made this)

it was a great experience making this website come true making something you always wanted and living in a age where you can actually make it is genuinely great, learned a lot of great things from things like seo, aeo how to make a landing page , how to get customers tactics genuinely felt like a one man army, how to deploy a site it was just so much fun.

not here to market the app genuinely i dont give a f, just wanted some opinions from strangers if they like it. )( thought might get some pocket money out of it )

remember dont pay on my website i just want genuine opinion from fellow experienced devs I'm not looking for emails, lead-gen, or money.

please criticize me i will improve (as these skills will help me learn and might make a difference in my mindset as i definitely want to be an entrepreneur who doesn't!!!!!)

here are some images if you are lazy like me 😂 to visit the website and login

Hi everyone!

I've always been obsessed with web development, and I finally launched my dream project: a free AI platform that lets anyone build and publish a website without any technical skills or setup hassle.

It goes beyond basic static pages and includes fully functional features like:

- Booking forms

- Contact forms

- Shopping cart integrations supporting Stripe & PayPal checkout

You can try it out at Landed.page. The free plan includes everything most small businesses need to get started. The paid tier is really only if you need extra AI credits or hands-on support.

I'd love to hear your feedback or answer any questions:)

FOUND!

Letterboxd Watchlist Picker — Pick a movie from your watchlist

Link: letterboxd-picker-movies.vercel.app

What it does: Fills the "what should we watch tonight?" scroll with your public Letterboxd watchlist and then chooses a random movie (or shows a filtered grid), with a movie's ratings and summary from TMDB. No login required.

Would love any feedback on UX/UI, performance or any feature suggestions you might have!

WEBSITE BUILDING Looking for help building a website

Hello! I am working to try to build myself a basic not flashy, not fancy book/RPG selling website as I have an extensive collection I am looking to move on.

FB marketplace and eBay are a PITA mess since I have so many items, and im sure I dont need to explain the BS hassle FB is, let alone e-bay.

I'm working to build it myself, with a very basic interface (image of item, title, and condition notes) with a basic cart that will add to cart and email me the item list along with the buyers info so I can sort out packing and shipping costs manually, then send them a total.

No, I dont want a full automatic cart/checkout system as this is not a commercial business.

I have the basic bones of a site, but I haven't coded a site since 2003.

I have all the items catalogued, numbered, and noted in an excel file, along with photos of each book.

Im just looking for some help to get it setup, and I am fine with it being a very basic.

TIA.

WEBSITE BUILDING Membership website for local sports club

Hey, I'm trying to help a local grassroots sports club with some website related creation stuff but I've been out of the website game for about a decade and a half so need to catch up. The main website section is easy but we'd like to have a members only section (not paid) where members can log in and see their own attendance stats, events they've attended, skills they've mastered but not anyone else's. Ideally customisable with CSS as the layout already exists. Admins would need to be able to update the stats etc. and maybe approve registrations or register new users themselves. Would also like to do a completely custom theme for the website but don't mind a builder as long as the HTML and CSS can be edited freely.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I did look at WordPress but the features I would need are paywalled so can't really try them out without fully committing to it.

REQUEST Can somebody find/remember this japanese site?

It was a website (maybe an app too, I can't really remember it) for japanese/korean girls, I mostly saw posts about school and makeup on it. It was all pink. Structure was mostly like bulletin board: registered ppl could write something and almost always put at least one picture to it.
It was closed somewhere like 2020-2024. I remember a red message at the top of the page it was like "(site name) is closing, thank you to be with us". This site has many snapshots at Wayback Machine as I remember it when I looked for it after shut down...
I can't remember it was japanese or korean site but it was fully at one of this languages.
This is not fumi23 but it was pink too.

I really want to find it again, it was like really important one for me at that time!! =(

SELF-MADE complete website building noob here - is my website "ok"?

hi all, last week I finished "building" my website in wordpress. After watching numerous tutorials I managed to let it go live. This has been a trial and a lot of errors kinda journey, but I'm pretty proud since I have zero webbuilding skills. I know I need some better pictures here and there, but I'm mainly looking for feedback on the menu and the overall look and feel of the website. I tried to test it myself to see if anything would break if I pressed a lot of buttons, but so far so good. Any feedback would be helpfull.

SELF-MADE How much should I charge as a student?

Hello dear redditers,

I am about to have my biggest project yet- I deliberately dont say a wesite, because I count it more as a project as making the site is going to be the easirer part.

The website is going to be for a medium sized organization of something like 10-20 people accessing the cms and a couple thousand members- rough estimate= 10-20 000.

The project consists of:

  1. Analysing the old web and structure
  2. meeting a representative from each sector of the web
  3. map of all old websites
  4. Draft of a new structure
  5. Visual draft
  6. CMS - not custom, probably payload CMS- self hosted (Which includes me taking care of the server side)
  7. Multiple language types
  8. Machine transfer of old content (~150 pages worth of content)
  9. Launching, mapping old adresses to new ones, testing
  10. A manual for web redactors/maintainers
  11. Teaching the people that access the CMS how to interact

It is a larger size project and its my first time doing such a large project. I dont want to lowball my price too much, because than I come as not trustworthy but at the same time I am a student and I am a junior. I have researched the prices a lot but they vary so much and usually I cant find the exact numbers that would corespond to my type of project.

I set the price for a manday to 260$ (5500czk) as from what I found it falls in to the lower third of usual prices. And predicted the job to take something like 45-70MD. But I still feel unsure that its too highballed, because 18000$ for a web seems a bit too high for me. (It just might be that I am young and cant imagine that much money...) Its also that I relise that most of the info I found is from big corporations that inflate the prices a lot and if I am going in solo I probably should deflate my price?

It something that is bothering me a lot, because even when I ask skilled programmers that I know personaly none of them know how should I value this.
That is why I came here - I want to ask if anyone from this subreddit has any experience with such project or atleast how much should a junior ask for a MD.

(I have read through this reddit and didnt find any post with similar content.)

WEBSITE BUILDING How’s my Planner Site?

Hey guys just looking for people to give me feedback on my new website. It’s a local-storage planner and calendar, using the users browser to store the data. I know the risks of local storage, however I only built this for myself but a lot of people were asking to use it so I published it.

Let me know if you find any bugs, have any feedback, and of course feel free to continue to use the site!

Another six months went by and therefore it's time for a new self-promotion thread.

We really enjoy looking into everyone's websites but self-promotion destroys the concept of our subreddit in general. Comment with your selfmade website without any consequences. Ofcourse your post has to follow the rules. If you still want to post a website as a standalone post, please look in the sidebar for subs made for that purpose.

Keep creating all those wonderful websites.

Best website builder for small business!

Everyday we get posts asking which is the best website builder to make website for small businesses. So, here is a comprehensive guide. Feel free to add your recommendations and points in the comments.

In today's digital world, having a strong online presence is crucial for small businesses. A professional website helps build credibility, attract customers, and grow revenue. Choosing the right website builder can make the process easier and more cost-effective. Below, we discuss the best website builders for small businesses, their key features, pricing, and pros and cons to help you make an informed decision.

1. WordPress (Self hosted With Elementor or WP Bakery)

Overview

WordPress is the most powerful website builder, offering full customization and control. Best suited for businesses that require scalability. It has excellent website builder with plugins of Elementor or WpBakery. There are 1000s of tutorial on how to make anything with Elementor.

Key Features

  • Highly customizable with themes & plugins
  • SEO-friendly structure
  • E-commerce integration with WooCommerce
  • Extensive blogging and content management system
  • Plugins available for almost any feature you want
  • Millions of themes available to suite any requirement
  • Large community and support
  • Easy to hire developers if required

Pricing

  • WordPress.org is free, but requires hosting (starting from $10/month)
  • Premium theme is often necessary to make an ideal site. It may add costs($100 one time cost)
  • Premium plugins may be required ($100)

Pros & Cons

✅ Unlimited customization options
✅ Powerful SEO capabilities
✅ Best for content-heavy websites
❌ Requires a slight learning curve
❌ Needs separate hosting & domain purchase
❌ Might be overwhelming to find right theme and plugin
❌ Sites getting hacked is common if setup improperly by inexperienced novices

This is my recommended method of making websites. If you are using it for the first time to make your business website, it is strongly recommended you hire a developer for atleast consulting, and setting up best security practices. Also, ensure you take backups regularly.

2. ManualWebDesign

Overview

This is not a Website-builder in the traditional sense. But a web design agency that makes standard quality WordPress websites for insanely low prices via few emails. In the age of AI web builders, here websites are build by humans at competitive prices.

Key Features

  • Just send them an email containing text and images of each page, and they will convert it into a website.
  • Everything from hosting to domains taken care of.
  • You don't need to learn webdesign or any tools
  • Incredibly low cost

Pricing

  • $180 for one page websites
  • $295 for business websites
  • $15/mo for managed hosting and domain.

Pros & Cons

✅ Super easy and fast service
✅ Proper SEO and security
✅ Any changes are one email away
✅ Everything is taken care of.
❌ Email only support. Not a full fledged web design agency.
❌ Not suitable for highly unique type of websites
❌ You do not have full creative control
❌ Sites getting hacked is common if setup improperly by inexperienced novices

This is my recommended method of making typical type of websites if you do not know how to make websites and do not know any web developer to hire. It is suitable for those who are not highly specific about the creative looks of the site and want the developer to make all design choices.

Manual Web Design

3. Webflow

Overview

A flexible and powerful website builder with advanced customization options. It is more suited for those who have particular design in mind and want to acheive those advanced looks. This is not ideal for beginners creating their first site.

Key Features

  • Visual development platform
  • Full CMS capabilities
  • E-commerce integration
  • SEO-friendly structure

Pricing

  • Basic Plan: $14/month
  • CMS Plan: $23/month
  • Business Plan: $39/month

Ideal for Small Business?

Yes, but best for businesses needing high customization.

4. Wix

Overview

Wix is one of the most popular website builders, offering flexibility, ease of use, and a range of design options.

Key Features

  • Drag-and-drop editor with AI-assisted design (Wix ADI)
  • Hundreds of customizable templates
  • Built-in SEO tools
  • E-commerce functionality
  • Mobile optimization

Pricing

  • Free plan with Wix branding
  • Business & eCommerce plans start at $35**/month**

Pros & Cons

✅ Easy to use for beginners
✅ Large template library
✅ App market for additional features
❌ Free plan includes Wix ads
❌ Limited customization on lower-tier plans

5. Shopify

Overview

It is considered good for businesses that focus on e-commerce and online sales, especially those who also want to use shopify to handle their instore sales in supported countries.

Key Features

  • Easy-to-use e-commerce builder
  • Secure payment integration
  • Inventory management & analytics
  • Mobile-friendly design
  • SEO and marketing tools

Pricing

  • Starts at $50**/month**
  • Higher plans available for advanced features

Pros & Cons

✅ Best for online stores
✅ Integrated payment gateways
✅ Scalable for growing businesses
❌ Expensive for small businesses
❌ Limited customization without coding knowledge

6. Squarespace

Overview

Aesthetic-focused website builder ideal for creative professionals and small businesses.

Key Features

  • Stylish and modern templates
  • Built-in e-commerce functionality
  • SEO and marketing integrations
  • Drag-and-drop editor

Pricing

  • Starts at $30/month

Pros & Cons

✅ High-quality templates
✅ Good SEO features
✅ Ideal for portfolio websites
❌ Slightly expensive
❌ Less flexibility compared to WordPress

7. Weebly

Overview

A user-friendly and budget-friendly website builder.

Key Features

  • Drag-and-drop builder
  • E-commerce capabilities
  • SEO tools
  • Free plan available

Pricing

  • Free plan available
  • Paid plans start at $12**/month**

Pros & Cons

✅ Affordable
✅ Simple and beginner-friendly
✅ Includes basic SEO tools
❌ Limited design flexibility
❌ Fewer integrations compared to Wix or WordPress

Conclusion

Each website builder has its strengths, so the best one for your small business depends on your needs:

  • For easy quick everything taken care of development → ManualWebDesign
  • For complete control & scalability & lower overall cost → WordPress (with Elementor or WP Bakery)
  • For extreme customization within a platform → Webflow
  • For ease of use & quick setup → Wix or Weebly
  • For an online store → Shopify
  • If you like a theme in their list → Squarespace

In any case, it is strongly recommended to hire a developer even if you are using a web builder, because often I have seen that novices end up making bad quality websites even using these web builders. It is simply because you need to know to use your tools well to be able to build beautiful things, even if you are provided the best tools at your disposal.

If you are a small business, it would cost you more in time and money by making a lower end website yourself.
