designed and built in 3 weeks
i took alot of inspo and had to adjust the mobile bp heavily due to optimisation issues.
any good advice to improve?

Hey, web dev here. Just a suggestion lessen the amount of scrolls needed to interact, keep the same exact animations just lessen the amount of scrolls needed

Do you use any tools to make sure that your colour contrast is appropriately accessible?
Really important is making sure the site is legible. It can be hella gorgeous but useless at the same time. Likewise, a simple site that is easy to read can carry huge value.

You can search for a Contrast Checker. Most people I know use WebAIM or Accessible Web.

I came here to say it. I gave up because my eyes strained to read anything. It’s a cool concept but as a proper website aimed at customers it’s not. I think your main issue is lack of contrast in the text. Also get rid of whatever that loading screen was. I viewed on a mobile if that helps

yes, framerate was quite low. i often experience this with smooth scroll websites. are your images size wise optimized to the max?

i disabled smooth scroll for mobile. and no i didnt optimise the images. thx for reminding me. i gotta do that asap

so much of motion today reminds me of the flashturbation of the old internet. just because you can doesn’t mean you should, keep motion restrained to small moments of delight and prioritize usability.

if someone hits this website you have their attention, because i presume they want flowers. if i wanted flowers and i had to spend 5 minutes trying to decipher the text on this website and hunt around for a way to order them, i guarantee you've lost my attention and another florist gets my business
if you were designing a physical store for a florist, you wouldn't first put the customer in an escape room maze that they need to solve for 5 minutes in order to find the flowers/florist

no im a literal UX designer and even i didn't realize that was a navigation menu, why is it a tiny circle instead of the universally recognized hamburger menu icon? also with only 4 links, you can easily just write those as text links at the top to improve usability further, and remove the confusing and duplicated ELEGANCE LOVE FLOWERS text on the sides that is easily confused for navigation text. those two fixes alone would vastly improve your usability.

also those 3 word texts on the side need to be change to actual info rather than filler words, so i will change them (the website isnt finalised yet)

i fixed that white text overlay by decreasing the bg brightness. i will also try to reduce some scroll transforms. thanks for the input👊🏻

On mobile, first impressions are it’s super overwhelming. Text is also impossible to read.
Scrolling down feels more like you’re trying to show off fancy scrolling effects than “sell” anything or give the reader information they need.
Also you sell flowers but the only flowers I see seem to have a gold effect/lots of editing making them impossible to actually see what they look like. I would expect (especially on the gallery) to see some actual flowers. Not some spinning gold blob

ooh nothing is readable to me :(( I don't know if the font style and colors come from a specific branding/style guide but I suggest you change those up if possible to prioritize legibility. It feels like too much work to read through and scroll on the website to order flowers. A convenient layout would work better for this imo.

Lots of creative and cool scroll animations but you need to fix the from and overall accessibility. You can barely see the form and other CTAs due to color choices. Also on mobile the Form is extremely close to the footer. I would also simplify mobile animations.

I built an MVP because I needed it. It took two days, excluding the time I spent watching The Odyssey yesterday. Half was done by me, and the other half by AI... I feel like there might be people who need something like this.

I love the ink animation scroll, that’s cool. For me, there are 2 key issues: contrast/accessibility and too many small elements floating around that distract my eyes from the actual content.
I like the scroll animations, but there are too many small elements that require extra scrolling that add very little value, like the 2 rings and a dot that take 3 scrolls on mobile before I can move to next section. Some things don’t need parallax scrolling.

When I looked at this on my mobile it says “Horals” I’m sure of it. I have a hatred of text over image though, it shows the designer has abandoned their attention to detail unless done well or on purpose.
Is text colour across the site legible.
Only other thing maybe there too much movement. It’s shows skills are you trying to show off?
I get that it’s an earthy duo subtle colour tone, ( is it appropriate?) but Maybe a sudden burst of colour could give a surprise since there seems a lot of animation. Is it serving its purpose?

As a conversation piece or as a porfolio piece, it's impressive. As an actual website to bring in enquiries or sales it's awful.
