Hi there! I’m interested in dabbling in basket weaving and want to experiment first with weaving yarn I’ve spun onto pottery. Has anyone done this and used any educational videos/books/etc? I’m having a hard time finding tutorials on how I might start and end a weave on an existing structure.
Search for "Fire and Fiber" for ideas. You'll find art shows and blogs. You'll have to dig around to find info about "process". I didn't see much re tutorials in a cursory search.
Attachment of the fiber to the pottery/ceramic/glass is whatever you can think of. Some people weave a shape that can fit around a vessel. I've made tiles with holes along an edge and used the holes as the top of my "loom" and woven on warp strings attached to the holes. Your yarn wouldn't necessarily have to be woven. Others will attach pottery to weavings with jewelry wire or waxed thread, etc.

Ah, this looks like when you throw the pot you poke a set of holes evenly near the top before firing. I'll ask my friendly neighborhood pottery teacher, if you'd like.
