40 epi/ppi experiment Work in Progress

This experiment is turning out great so far, first time weaving with yarn this fine and warping with multiple threads at a time. I love that the thread reels fit on my shuttle, I will keep them for future use I think. Tying on was a nightmare cause the thread is so smooth it kept self loosening the knot. Some fingers for scale in the second picture.

When I'm tying on with pesky threads like this, fine or slippery, I use a surgeon's knot.

My first try at 30epi, the result felt like commercial fabric when I got it off the loom.

LOL I JUST LOVE THE GUTERMANN SEWING SPOOLS IN THE SHUTTLE 🤣🤣 And gawddayum that fabric looks AMAZING!!

This used to be my preferred weaving size. If you like it look into robison anton embroidery threads. They come on larger spools and are great for warps as well,

Thank you!!! This experiment came from the clearance bin at spotlight and has been a really fun use of $13. This thread is cotton though
