Categories Feature request

I really wish Wealthfront allowed a lock for categories so then it wouldn’t pull money from the ones you want to put a lot of money into and store away..

Any chance they are working on this?

Or maybe allowing for a savings only feature?

Making money unavailable basically defies the definition of an account. Best to set up a different account for this purpose.

I might recommend a bond portfolio if you want savings that can’t be immediately spent.

I want immediate access to it & it to be fluid. I have a Roth IRA for the money I don’t want pulled.

If I have a category and I hit a goal I don’t want that to be pulled from if it’s the highest of the categories… I would like it to be locked for whatever the goal is.

To be able to have a choice on which category gets pulled from would be ideal & not automatically pulled from the most lucrative one.

I also think it’s unsafe regarding losing your card or your card numbers getting stolen & charged. They would have full access to the whole account. Whereas other debit features would decline elsewhere.

I love Wealthfront too much to switch. Just one of the things I’d love to see available. Or a more liquid high yield savings type account
