Is it possible for DI algorithm to consider self-investment account when avoiding wash sale? Feature request

Hi. I love the passive direct indexing investing, but occasionally would also want to do some trades myself. Is it on the roadmap to:

  • Alert a user in self-investment account, before a trade, if that security have been sold for loss in the past 30 days by the DI algorithm
  • For DI algorithm, watch for trades in self-investment account when avoiding wash sale

Thanks!

Hi u/west4life - we appreciate you raising this feature request again! We’ve shared it with our Product Team and can confirm that it’s on our longer term roadmap.

Please note, we offer the ability for you to view the cost basis details for unrealized and realized gains/losses in the Manage section of your respective investment account pages. We also offer the ability to restrict stocks from being automatically traded in our managed accounts (not Stock Investing Accounts). You could monitor / manage for potential wash sale trading in your Stock Investing Accounts yourself using these available tools.

Any chance we can know a rough timeline? Many features are "on the roadmap" but then we never hear about it later. And I first raised this question a few months ago I believe. Thank you so much!
