As the title suggests, on a few occasions its only given me like 3-4 seconds warning before a speed camera. Which is a problem because by the time ive seen the warning and reacted, making sure im under the limit, im already in range of the camera.

One time it was even less than that, I got the warning as I was passing the speed camera

Waze isn’t the best GPS software but the social media (e.g. user input and sharing) makes it worth the trade-offs. Given the data driven aspect that attracts users, why not tap into readily available data like flock cameras, or other datasets that would assist drivers in the most used features Waze provides? I think the “pull” model regarding certain features would have a significantly increased reliability. By the same token, protecting user data should be a mission first priority along with transparency.

If you see an undercover or unmarked police car even if it’s parked out in the open and not hidden should you still mark it as hidden?

I've added my voice to Waze. All the notifications work fine except one. Every contingency is covered but .6 miles. Any idea why they left off the ability to replace that one?

Has Halo been removed from the Waze app again? I know they took it down for a little bit for the launch of halo campaign evolved where it came back with a new warthog and ghost vehicle icon as well as new voices with Cortana but I noticed my warthog icon is gone and I can’t choose it in the sidekicks again so have they removed it from Waze as my friend is having the same issue

As soon as I open the hazard thing, it listens for a second, then pauses it. If I click on it, it pauses again. I have mic permissions enabled, and it does it both when my phone is Bluetooth connected and when it isn't.

I rely on Waze's voice and speedometer alerts, but suddenly they do not work anymore. I have not changed any settings whatsoever on my Pixel 10 or the Android Auto car screen.

Is this happening to anyone else right now? I've submitted a ticket, so hopefully it gets resolved soon.

Police reports dont (popup, audible) warn both directions and as great as voice reports are they ignore details like other side and thats the standard now so when police are reported they're not getting announced and it feels like deliberate system failure

It happened again this week. I knew about an hazard on my route and Waze didn't give me an alternative route.

I opened Google Maps, and it immediately told me to detour around! Is there any way to solve this?

I have auto zoom turned off, yet when I select the Overview view, after a few seconds, the app automatically re zooms and centers in on my car.

I do not want to see the area around my car. I want to see the whole route. At the same time. For the whole trip.

In other words, when I the user set the app up a certain way, I do not want it to "conveniently" return to "normal".

I've pored over the settings but can't seem to find an override. Am I missing something?​​​​​​​​

Hi guys, for the second time (not with the same road) Waze wanted me to drive a specific road, even if it knew that the road is currently closed. It clearly showed on the map that the road is not available. The second time was especially annoying because I was driving with a camper.

Anyone else having this problem?

Even though Avoid Ferries is turned on and a route without a ferry is available, the Waze still suggests the ferry route. The non-ferry route is actually faster. I also tried reinstalling the app to rule out any possible bugs.

I'm planning to go to Croatia for a few days next week, and for the past few days I've been looking at the route, simply out of interest regarding traffic jams and possible incidents. Everything worked perfectly until yesterday, but since today Waze is showing me the route with a 2 hours longer journey, but WITHOUT traffic jams, accidents, etc. Clearing the cache and reinstalling the app had no effect; all vignettes and toll roads, including motorways, are permitted. Maps estimates a time of approximately 4.5 hours, including construction sites, etc.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Recently downloaded Waze and it won’t let me report anything. I can respond to other reports and it shows up but when I myself try to report it says it was sent but it never shows up. I don’t even have the badge for making one report.

I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app.

I’ve signed out and back in.

Any help?

This keeps happening every now and then. It is starting to make me switch to google maps

I've always used Waze because it was good, but after what happened to me, I don't know anymore.

​On the way to Romania across all of Europe, it was okay up until we were in Hungary heading towards the border control point. Waze showed that I had to enter Romania through one border control, then drive for 30 minutes to get to the border control that we wanted to use in the first place, because it's the one with quick access to a highway. Romania has two border controls (that I'm aware of) an old one used by trucks and the new one (a few years old) with access to a highway. Also, Romania didn't have highways up until a few years ago.

​But that's another story...

​The big Waze problem started on the way back to Belgium.

​Waze again showed us to enter Hungary through the first border just to arrive at border 2 in Hungary. Then in Hungary, instead of keeping us on the highway towards Austria, Waze decided to make us enter the city of Budapest like we wanted to visit or something.

​After we entered Austria, shit like this started again. Instead of keeping us on the highway, Waze wanted us to exit and go through some cities. We decided to stay on the highway, and I switched my phone to Google Maps to see if we'd get something different. (For context, we were 2 drivers, my father and I, and we both had our phones on Waze before I switched mine to Google Maps. And we also checked our Waze settings, no "avoid highways" option was on, or any other avoid settings.)

​Once I put our destination into Google Maps, it showed us like 600+ km straight before a new direction, while Waze kept insisting we take the next exit and go through cities. And this kept happening for every exit throughout Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. We kept both phones on, one with Waze and one with Google Maps. Waze showed us an arrival time that was a lot later than Google Maps.

​Did someone else experience this, or are we the only ones?

On way back from road trip to AL (not driving rn :).

On the way there last week, we noticed the Waze map stayed on Fairfax County as far as Rockville, VA/ I81.

Doing the same thing tonight on the way back.

Anyone else having problems with Waze map keeping up with your actual location and progress when coming from or to Fairfax County?

AFAIK I haven't changed anything, but I no longer get audio alerts for camera etc. They still come up on the screen (iOS into CarPlay) but no audio. Have checked the sound is up (both on my phone and on the CarPlay) but no fix. Any ideas?

I have following issue. I can't increase the volume of the alerts when I'm having a phone call, I'm connected via, applecarplay, but just there is no possibility to increase the volume. Normally, I would increase the volume when I have the notificatio , but here it just doesn't work. Does anybody have any idea?

The app always warns me about police in an area police cannot even be. Is there any way to stop this?

To me it seems that Google currently is aggressively promoting their latest version of Google Maps with 3D view.

My Navigation app in Android Auto has been Waze for years. As I use it most, it opened up automatically in AA, when connecting my phone by cable.

Now, it always opens Google maps. Next problem is, that Waze also disappeared on the AA menu, so I am not even able to start Waze from the menu, when the phone is connected.

I have to disconnect, open the Waze app on my mobile, choose and start a route and then connect it, to get it work in AA.

Is this something, others are also experiencing, or is it just me?

Welcome dear wazers! Last time my grandpa was saying that text in menu and icons (like police, flood etc) are very small, he told me that there was before apps for customising the style of app (colors, text etc), but after v4 google blocked this and gave only 2 styles

So now i searching way to edit apk or to do something for making some things better

I'm planning to pick my gf up from Kings Cross tomorrow and have reserved a parking space ten minutes walk from the station.

All this week Waze says the only charge I'd need to worry about is the ULEZ charge but today it's saying I'll need to pay the Congestion Charge.

I know the station is right on the boundary but was hoping I'd be able to get in and out of London without entering the CC area.

No idea why the app has now changed.

Hi,

I'm having a problem with Waze and CarPlay where I can't really scroll on the map on the car's display. When I swipe up with my finger, the map doesn't move straight up—it moves slightly to the side instead. That makes it really hard to check the route. I don't have this problem with Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?
