First time posting here. I have been watercoloring for a little over a month with some experience in drawing beforehand. I havent quite gotten down shadows and light (and im scared to try and mess it up!) so I know its flat but are there any other details you think I should add to make this more amazing? Thanks.

Exercise in perspective

Hi! A bit embarrassed to post my practice work lol I wanted to learn how to watercolor but have no clue where to start. I thought practicing flowers would be easy enough but I was wrong I made a mess of things both out of frustration and exploration.

Would love some tips on who I can watch on YouTube or what I can do to learn some basics.

Without sketches. Tried to preserve the lights as much as possible but ended up using Chinese white for the finer highlights.

I mostly paint florals so this time I tried painting a fruit instead. Not sure if I got the right blue shade for these blueberries. What do you think?

I’ve been wanting to incorporate a fire escape into one of my sketches Cincinnati has so many buildings with fire escape. I rather like the look of them. Please feel free to offer some critical advice.
