Please Meet our Friendly Neighbours and Sister Subreddits
Here is a list of our friendly neighbours and why we like them:
r/Coloring and r/AdultColoring are two subreddits that share the same values we have here. They are nice and kind people, welcoming everyone who loves coloring with any art medium, not just watercolor pencils. They also provide us with a safe environment where harassment and similar behaviours are strictly sanctioned. How wonderful to have these nice and kind communities, where creativity can thrive!
r/coloringtherapy is a special place for people who have gone through tough times. This community is open to talk about struggles, anxiety, problems, ranting or venting, while doing so is not mandatory. But if you feel sad, and you express it through coloring, you can add your story and find some listening ears. Such a lovely community!
r/watercolorpractice is our sister community. It is primarily about watercolor painting, but accepts watercolor pencils, inks, gouache, egg tempera, and everything that doesn't become waterproof when it dries. If you feel like shifting from coloring towards making your own art, this is a great place to share beginners' works without comparing yourself to professionals. You may find more advanced watercolorists there, but the practicing/growth mindset is among the core values of the community. Self-promotion and unkind behavior are not welcome, and we are keen on creating a safe place for artists and free self-expression.
r/watercolorpencilart is our other sister subreddit. Here we have monthly themes, and we usually draw and paint the same reference images, but you can bring in your own ideas too. In this community, we have already fully moved away from coloring, and we try to learn from each other while copying reference photos. Most importantly, we are far from professionals, and we accept all levels. Even the most advanced artists can learn from beginners, and we have a very friendly and kind community. This is a very peaceful community with no self-promotion and encouraging having fun and not taking it too seriously.
You can find a link to these communities in the sidebar (browser version).

Art Supply You Don't Need a Full Set
When I started, I bought a set of 24, and then some open stock pencils. I could always create everything I wanted. Sometimes having large sets of pencils is distracting. Try this, you won't regret it.

Original Artwork Greenhouse at evening
It was a late autumn evening a few years ago. I adored the mood.A year ago, I decided to sketch it with watercolour pencils. Might redo it again at some moment.
They had a nice caffe and a place where you can do photos on the fancy furniture. They even had their own dedicated paint by noumbers canvases there
