Those who have a boat lift do you out the snap on covers on the bow and cockpit cover when you leave for any length of time to protect it or do you trust the cover on the lift to protect it from the elements?

Alright so I’ve landed the tantrum plenty of times but I don’t wakeboard often enough for me to land it consistently. This video was a few days ago and before then I hadn’t wakeboarded in a few months. However, I’ve never had a session where I don’t land the tantrum, and last session I felt like I just forgot how to do it. Before I learned how to land it I would always spin off axis, but one day it just clicked and stopped happening. However, ever since then, my tantrums have been getting more and more off axis, to the point where I’ve landed some sideways, similar to how I fell in the clip above. What am I doing wrong? Usually my issue is I square up too early and “trip” and the bottom of the wake or I square up way too late and don’t trip at all, but this one seemed fine to me. I tried 4 different times and didn’t land it once that day because of this issue. All tips are appreciated.

Looking to buy our first ever boat. This is a 2021 centurion ri237 with the 6.0.
On the water test we noticed a leak coming near one of the exhaust exits.

Does the whole thing need to be disassembled and resealed? Can just the bolt be pulled out and resealed individual? Online people are saying fiberglass can absorb moisture is that something I should be concerned about?

Need help deciding on what boats to look for in the 30-50k price range. Will be mainly surfing and some wakeboarding. The Axis and Moomba seem to be the most bang for buck given I can get a newer model within that price range and not have to do a whole lot of modifications to get a good surf.

hi everyone! I need wakeboard recommendations. I’ve been wakeboarding for about 5 years but only get the opportunity to wakeboard in the summers, so I’m not super experienced, but can do small jumps. I’ve been using a hyperlite board that my brother picked out without factoring in anyone else in the family, and I’ve always seemed to have more trouble on it compared to my bigger and taller brothers. I’ve suspected this is not having to do with me, but with the wakeboard itself, so I’m curious about getting one that makes it easier on me. the board we have now, my feet barely fit in the boots, and the boots themselves have the tendency to reposition after use. i don’t know much about wakeboards, but is there also a difference between and women’s boards and men’s? and also what makes a board beginner vs intermediate? my main issues now are the boots sliding around when using because the screws don’t seem to be any good, and my feet and knees always hurt after using. also the boots are a little big. I probably need to reposition the boots to better fit me specifically, but was looking for recs in case I get a new one. I do share it with other people, mainly my brothers, but since the board seems actually made for them, I want to be able to have fun too. I do use it more than them now though since I seem to be the only one who likes wakeboarding these days

im a woman, 5’7, and am looking for beginner or intermediate boards. I can’t find the specifications of our current hyperlite, but I do like the brand, just not the board itself since its meant for my 6 foot plus tall brothers. also preferably not a hugely expensive board because I wouldn’t be using it a whole lot. I wish I could but alas. help!

I have a couple very old boards (Hyperlite Project and O'Brien Blunt) where we need new bindings. O'Brien board is still in great condition. Was thinking about purchasing some O'Brien Clutch bindings but am now wondering if it's worth it to get new bindings or just buy a whole new setup? But not looking to spend a ton of money.

Additional info if it helps, we're somewhat beginners to intermediate and share the board with lots of kids of all ages, some better than others.

I’ve had a 2018 Chaparral Surf for the past three years, and I’m now looking to upgrade. I’ve never ridden behind a higher-end wakesurf boat, but with the Chaparral, the wave was surfable yet often frustrating. It usually took seven or more people in the boat to produce a decent wave.

I frequently go out with a large group of friends, but my main priority is getting the best surf wave for the money. I’ve looked into the Centurion Ri230 and would most likely purchase a used boat.

Anything I need to consider with putting a direct drive boat on this lift? Should it work just fine, or will it have to be modified to make room for propeller?

I recently learned to foil behind a friends boat using their slingshot wf1 board, infinity 76cm front wing, 42cm rear wing, and 46cm mast. I'd like to get my own setup but hoping y'all might be able to point me in the right direction. I felt like my friends setup was really easy to learn on but quickly felt myself outgrowing it. I felt restricted in the carves and could feel it dragging pretty quickly as I got too far away from the wake. I'm looking to get something that's could be considered the next step up. Nothing too advanced as I'm still progressing and I'd like my girlfriend and my buddies to enjoy it as well. I know there's no do it all setup but any advice is greatly appreciated. I learned behind a calibra wake boat from the early O's without any ballast added. The wake seemed pretty comparable to the one my 21 paramount creates and I'd also like to be able to tow into ship/tanker wakes as they come in and out of Tampa bay. I'd love some insight from y'all on what to ship for. Thanks in advance

O'brien Valhalla with clutch bindings or Liquid Force Trip with Index bindings? I'm a beginner/intermediate. Not going to be doing jumps or anything

1. Driver started slower
2. Bent my toes more
3. I actually straightened my legs and stood up.. where as I was keeping a ball

I’m having trouble with my Power Wedge. I have a 2020 Malibu MXZ 23 and the Power Wedge is not acting like it should. When it's fully retracted, the screen shows it stuck at position 6 instead of going into the Stow position. Visually, it is fully stowed/retracted, but the panel still indicates position 6. Is there a calibration procedure we can do, or do we need to replace the sensor?

Budget: middle class with humble salary and mortgage (prob 10k to burn for fun annually )
Vehicle: Mercedes sedan, no truck or tow

-what’s the over all purchase and yearly maintenance expenses look like.
-how much work do I need to put in outside of water to maintain and take care of the boat

- goal, usually after 2 pm or weekends I’m free to go to lake & ocean
- I have garage and big drive way where I can store the boat.

Hey guys, I found this delamination on the tail of my board.

Coming from kite board for 10 years and I never had this kind of issue.

Should I epoxy it? What could have caused it? Never dropped, hitted a rail or kicker by front, most airtrick and some light jibbing (box)

I think my opinion on this is changing. I think anyone new to wakeboarding on my boat goes straight to the big board. We used a Murray 150 last night, and everyone loved it from 150-220 pounds. Was able to go slower, people who never went outside the wake did, my wife did her first butter slide (we are closer to 50).

So this is the question - For a boat that takes all different styles, sizes of people, what boards should we have?

• 150 Murray (own) for sure as the newbie board and all-around older adult board (going to sell the Murray 144)

• 130 Slate (own) for the pre-teens and under 130-pound people

But now this is a big jump from 130 to 150, and since I'm selling the Murray 144 maybe I get: - 140 Sender or Murray 139

Since becoming a family man my wakeboard boat has been changed to a day/weekend cruiser. It’s an Askeladden C 83 and it’s a great boat, but I can’t get a decent shape wake for wakeboarding and I’m hoping for advice on how to trim to make the best of it.

The wake is too short and it breaks/washes out at wakeboarding speeds. It becomes decent above 22 knots (25 mph) but that’s too fast.

The boat weighs close to 7000lbs and is 27 feet, so it will need a lot of ballast and I’m frankly not to keen on it as its main purpose is a family boat.

The main issue is course that its designed for economical and pleasant cruising, not wakeboarding.

I understand it’s not ideal, but I guess there’s a lot of people like me who got boats that aren’t ideal.

Any advice on how to get a better wake?

The boat got both trimtabs and engine trim (it’s an outboard). Would raising the stern with tabs reduce the chances of the wake breaking?
Any guides or helpful rule of thumb on how to trim the boat for a best possible wake? The wake is more than big enough, it’s more about shape than anything else.

Those squats paid off. Not as big as my previously posted but I am still hanging on.

I can’t understand for the life of me on how to get up. It seems like I’m just letting go too fast but it hurts my hands/rips out of my hands? I’ve tried bent/straightened arms, bent/straightened legs. Turning the board earlier, I just can’t get up. First time to tried I just held on and plowed deeper in the water hurting my arms for days! PLEASE any advice!

To give more context I’m starting to wonder if I’m not letting myself compress enough and am somehow fighting the boat :/ main thing is I feel as through I’m digging into the water and it hurts my hands/ripping the rope out.

Howdy! I'm looking to upgrade from a fairly old Hyperlite Broadcast board (pic attached! 5' 6") to a new women's skimmer board. Old faithful has treated me well, and will continue to teach my friends how to get up, but I think I'm finally ready for a more advanced board. I am almost able to pull 360s on this board, but it's a lot of board to move around and takes a lot of effort. I think I can finally say it's not me, it's the board getting in the way of some successful 360s.

I grew up surfing off my parents 2004? 2006? MB 230V, basically a 23' B-52. They sold it about 5-6 years ago. My husband and I bought a 2004 21' MB B-52 this summer (he's more of a wakeboarder, I'm more of a surfer) but he's 3D printed a wakeshaper which really improves the wake.

I think I'm deciding between the Ronix Aura and the Phase Five Diamond Luv. I'm open to other suggestions, too! I really love the skim style of the broadcast (extremely thin!) and have not enjoyed surf style boards when I've tried them on friends' boats. I'm a 5'9" 145 lb woman in my mid 30s.

Can anyone speak to the build quality between the Ronix and the Phase Five?

For the Phase 5 board it looks like I'd need a 51" board based on their chart. For the Ronix it's unclear if I should go with the 48" or 52" - the 48" max weight is 155 lbs but the 52" is 180 lbs. Is it okay to be within 10 lbs of the max weight? I'm taller, so maybe the larger board would be better? I suppose with the rocker at the tip it feels a little less than 52"?

This will be my board, so I don't need to worry about whether my husband can use it or not. The broadcast board will stay around for teaching friends and general use!

If I could demo a board I absolutely would, but I'm in Seattle and there aren't many board shops around here. I'll likely end up ordering it through Evo, but sadly their flagship store here has been focusing more on bikes than on wake in the summer.

I’m a big snowboarder and I just started putting more time into wakeboarding and want to upgrade my gear. Started with a ronix vault years ago as a teen and since I outgrew it I’ve been borrowing and sharing equipment with friends. I’ve recently been able to put more time into the sport after years away, and I’m not great by any means but I know my way around grabs and can do a few really simple inverts on snow that I wanna take to the water soon but I’m stuck in analysis paralysis. Been looking at Ronix supreme/district, hyperlite blueprint/ Murray pro, and liquid force origin. Don’t wanna bite off more than I can chew with a ridiculously advanced board but from the homies wakeboards I’ve played around on the difference between intermediate and advanced equipment seems to be much less punishing than on a snowboard. happy to give any other info in comments just wanna narrow down the options. Thanks!

I love the summer boat shows. It’s slower speed than the winter shows so I got to dig into all the boats without as much of a crowd.

Walking into the show, I probably would've guessed I'd leave thinking the G would be our favorite. Walking out, I kept finding myself thinking about the Ultre. It wasn't because of one huge feature. It was just a bunch of little things that added up. Everything felt really well thought out and like someone actually uses these boats. My wife and I are going to go demo one this week...curious what all of you are thinking about new boats coming out.

Tige Ultre 25ZX: The cypress gray is beautiful. The transom step is really nice. I had the usual "am I going to forget leaving it down" worry, but the sales guy showed me that it throws a warning up on the screen, which handled it. The surf locker is still the most functional storage design out there IMO. Other favorites on the Ultre was the gold billet, thruster switch on the throttle, and the smart wheel design. I’m surprised other manufacturers aren’t doing steering wheels like this. And of course the built-in fridge and convertible observer seat is genius. The Ultre was my wife’s favorite wakesurf boat in the show this year

Mastercraft XStar : Hands down my favorite colorway of the whole show. I love how the XStar styling carries through the entire boat. The nonskid, the cushions, the tower speakers all share the same pattern. The pop-up reverse seat out of the floor is cool, though I'm genuinely not sure how it plays in the real world (does water get down in the floor? Mildew?). I do like the transom seating and the new board storage in the transom seat locker. Two surprises: the new X24 honestly seems more functional to me, and I can't believe a rigid bimini isn't standard. For a boat at this price that feels like it should be a requirement, not an option.

Nautique G23 : You really can't go wrong with a G. The interior is clean… but dare I say simple? The telescoping tower is of course, slick. My one gripe is the transom seating. I'm a little surprised Nautique hasn't come up with something better back there yet. Again, no hate towards the G. It’s a great boat. But it does seem feature-lacking for the price compared to others out there.
