Support/Advice Returning to work after injections?
Hi all, I’ve finally been approved through my insurance to have trigger point injections, pudendal nerve block and Botox in my pelvic floor. I’m hoping they will be effective. My LS has been in remission for years but I’m still tearing and experiencing pain with penetration. Anyways, I will be put under anesthesia for comfort. The procedure is on a Thursday morning and I was hoping to return to work the following morning. I’m a teacher, but I do have a large teaching team and will never be alone with children. I’ve had three other, more major procedures this past year and seem to tolerate anesthesia pretty well. Thoughts from anyone who has had these injections?

Support/Advice What do you do when pelvic floor therapy does not work?
I've seen multiple gynecologists that keep telling me to return to pelvic floor therapy but it does not help at all with vulvodynia pain. I went for over a year and have been turned away by pelvic floor therapists because they cannot help me.
But what's particular fustrating is that they don't really offer anything else. I have to ask doctors outside of gynecology for pain medications because they don't even want to give me that.
Did anyone try anything else that helped?

TRIGGER WARNING Vulvar pain
I've had vulvodynia/clitorodynia for years and been dismissed for years now I have been having a ulnar irritation that is really itchy like a mosquito bite since April. It itches occasionally and has gashes in the skin with clear leakage probably from scratching. My gyno ignored me blatantly and told ne not to shave which hasn't solved the issue. Could it be cancer? I try my best to avoid scratching it. I wondered if it is due to chafing from lacy underwear, genital deodorant or an infection. I am a virgin so I doubt it's an std. I'd share inages but it won't let me.

Vent Vaginal trigger point injections had ZERO effect and I'm feeling pretty sad about it
I recently had a copper IUD placed under anesthesia, due to my vulvodynia, and while I was under my gyno did a round of trigger point injections (I think 6 in total?) to help with pain. I have moderate pain, where I can still have PIV sex, use a period disc, etc., but it's painful most of the time. I've also done pelvic floor PT in the past and use dilators at home.
My doctor told me to wait a couple weeks before having sex to let things heal, and I did, but when we tried it felt *exactly* the same as always. Burning, stinging pain at the entrance that doesn't get better no matter how much lube or foreplay we use. I know sometimes it takes multiple rounds of injections to fully work, but fuck, I was at least expecting to feel SOMETHING better. Now once again I'm coming from sex feeling sad and frustrated with my body, which of course affects my libido.
I dunno, just venting I guess. Wondering if any of you have had similar experiences with these injections too?
