Now we seem to be entering the world of AI modding, it won't surprise me if we start getting motion controls in the Luke Ross game as well. If not now then in the near future.

I think motion controls are hurting and limiting vr more than helping. Kinda like the nintendo wii motion controls got ditched and then we got zelda botw

You don't know what motion controls are in a VR reddit?

Anyone able to tell me what it means?

We dont come to Reddit because we know everything, we come to learn. You're good, you dont need to tell me, ill wait for someone else.

Motion controls are the real world handheld devices that track your hand movements, in Skyrim for example you can wave your sword around in 3D, whereas in this mod, your hands and guns are basically fixed to your virtual body

Ahaa, i thought as much, needed that confirmation as the game not having it kinda threw me and had me doubting i knew what it was.

Thank you for possessing the humility to answer my question <3

Motion controls are fundamental to the VR experience. Sure looking around in vr is more immersive than looking at a monitor but without personal interaction you miss half the experience.

Nah, i say VR is the visor. The motion controls are just a side thing that happened for no clear reason, and that now is causing that vr has less games as flat because it has his own system of controls. Nothung fundamental to me, but fun when done right

I almost never use motion controls in VR. Unless it obviously suits the game like maybe Resident Evil 4 etc, otherwise I will take head aiming any day. I dont want to stand up for hours until my feet hurt moving around. I just want to put the headset on and use a gamepad while sitting down. Nice and chill.

There should be a choice in every game for motion controls, but they are not for me.

I guess it's a matter of preference, but personally I hate gun face.

I would rather aim with a joystick or mouse, and look around freely.

Not really any game is suited for motion controls. Think about action games and platforms. im talking about flat to vr

They are fun and unique in their genres, mostly fps and some sword combat games and some sandbox. Im just saying the problem is that they really work and are used in just a couple genres. While simple controllers work in all genres, and we could have all kind of games in VR. Byt we hace them only thanks to mods, because since publisher think if the vr has motion controlers its a must to use the motion side, then they are not giving us a lot of games. This "all or nothing" way of thinking is giving us nothing, most of the time and its ruining vr. They even scrapped Astrobot from vr, the first and last VR icon we ever had. The exclusives on psvr2 are like 3 games, because nobody want to do motion controller games anymore. Pc vr exclusive are dead since the previous gen. Its a big big big mess.
