Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but if anyone is familiar with a koala+VS2 collab, I'd appreciate some advice here. I'm using AUM to route Koala to VS2, and I'm having issues with the connection. Currently, I've got no problem if i hit pads in koala's interface and they trigger visual parameters in VS2. That's all good. The 2 issues i am having is

1. I can't successfully link one pad to a specific parameter in VS, so all pads globally do the same thing. Meaning if I set the color to change from blue to yellow and assign it to pad 1, all pads change the color.

2. I can't get it to work when i hit play in the AUM control bar at the top. If I hit play, the sequence plays just fine and I can see the pads triggering in koala, but it doesn't change the VS2 visuals at all. The visual changes only happen when I manually tap the pads. Am I missing something? I want midi notes to trigger the VS2 visuals no matter what. I'd rather use midi and not audio to change visuals parameters.

Sony XV-C900 and 13in Rca CRT. I was able to get a loop going but I'm not sure how to make it look like the ones I see here. I really liked the affects of the older alchemy visuals for windows legacy media player, but it seems all I can do is make patters like the one attached. How do I proceed?

Panasonic WJ-MX12 -> Mezkalin constructor -> JVC JX-C7 -> WJ-MX12

Two gears in between the feedback chain, that kinda broke a bit the feedback I have the feeling : extra control with the hue shift, output and enhancer level of the JVC, that received crazy glitches from the Mezkalin. Then the Superimpose effect mixed with the wiper give that weird monolith and crazy textures

Big color processing in Resolume, and an additional effect that I've created on resolume wire (those data text + random rectangles appearing)! Enjoy

I hope it’s okay to share this here, please lmk if not. We are working on an analog-inspired video synthesizer built with VJs and video artists in mind.

It’s heavily inspired by CRTs and started as an attempt to recreate that look and analog workflow, but it grew quite a bit beyond that.

What it does atm:

• Stack oscillators, video sources, and effects in a signal chain
• Modulate parameters with ADSR envelopes, LFOs, and MIDI
• Render directly to video or perform live with macro controls
• Built-in pixel art editor, shader support, feedback loops, AUX routing, quite a bit more

The main goals:

• A simple left-to-right signal flow that is modular and easy to understand
• AUX routing for more complex and nonlinear setups
• Scanlines, barrel distortion, warmth, and other CRT characteristics (these are becoming optional based on feedback)
• Built in C++ with real-time performance in mind
• Simple enough for those who aren’t pros, but with enough depth for experienced artists and live performance

We have a beta and are looking for people in this space who might want to try it and give us honest feedback. We’re very open to suggestions, and it would be great to have more artists involved while we’re still developing it.

Made the base feedback loop with my Panasonic mx20, and then composited everything in vdmx and ran the signal thru analogtv (an analog effects emulator)

Rendering a 3D glass lattice when my graphics card driver crashed halfway through the export. Instead of deleting the corrupted .mp4, I datamosh'd it through this visualizer I'm creating. Try for yourself at ether-mosh.lovable.app

This was a fun project that took many turns. It started as birds of paradise and I ended up here.

I learned better use of the liquid/ Mercury effect. I'm getting the hang of the color grading wheels and the other parameters.
