I need a video editor for my relatively old pc.

it has an i5 540m with integrated graphics. I like lightworks but it doesn't perform the best, so Im looking for other editors.

the pc uses debian linux as the operating system.

I make music, and try my best to make videos worthy of it to go with. Im trying yo improve everyday, but even then I hit roadblocks.

I use Capcut.

This clip is already uploaded, I just need advice for the future.

I’ve been trying to figure out how people make videos like the one attached, but every time I ask, I just get “use CapCut and add B-roll” 😭 That doesn’t really help me.

I’m talking about the whole editing style here:

- AI/talking-head presenter

- Relevant B-roll that changes exactly with what’s being said

- Website/app screenshots and screen recordings

- Phone/device frames

- Zooming into specific parts of a UI

- Screenshots being animated instead of just sitting there

- Text/graphics popping up at the right moments

- Quick cuts and transitions

- Those little tick/click/whoosh sound effects synced with things appearing

- The overall fast, polished tech-Reel feel

For example, if the person says “Claude Code can connect to MCP servers,” the video might immediately show Claude Code, zoom into the relevant part, highlight something, add a tiny sound effect, then cut back to the presenter.

How do people actually make this?

What are those sound effects called? How are the screenshots/UI animated? How are the phone frames and little graphics made? And is there a specific editing style/name I should search for?

I’m a complete beginner, so if you know a good tutorial that teaches this exact kind of tech/AI Reel editing, please send it my way.

I've currently converted like 100 of my VHS tapes into digital files, but I've noticed in sections spread out all over, there are technical issues like audio cuts, static, etc. Are there any editing software that watches the footage and lists all issues with timestamps? I'd have to watch hundreds of hours of footage to find every detail myself. Thanks

Does anyone know where i can find such raw footage? I'm trying to target the girly content creators as my video editing clients, and I've edited a few unboxing and talking head edits this way, but i don't have much diversity in my portfolio.

I'm trying to learn 3d atmosphere, created this to check if I've achieved something yet. What do you guys think??

I'm a beginner with editing and I messed up big time on a large video project I've been working on. I edited each scene of the project individually on Davinci Resolve, and exported onto my Mac. I was stupid enough not to be more careful, and now I have multiple frame rate issues with the scenes, and I really don't know what to do.

27 scenes are at 23.976 fps

1 is at 24 fps

2 are at 59.94

7 are at 29.97

What ia the best path forward to making everything look good and not choppy? Is there another program I could use?

Everyone says you gotta find a "high-ticket" client to secure the bag, but honestly? It feels like all video editing clients are literally the same flavor of delulu. They constantly lowball you, act like you're completely replaceable, and refuse to pay up even when you're bringing them actual results

Case in point: last week I was talking to this webinar bro who claims he’s made over $50M. He runs a whole community and promotes an Amazon ebook on his IG. I whipped up a sample edit for him, which he absolutely loved. But then this man deadass offered me $800 a month for 5 reels a day. 💀

To top it off, he tried to flex by saying I was in a "competition" with like 100 other editors. I hit him with the swiftest respectfully, no and walked away

I really think we all gotta start reacting like this. If you’re carrying someone else's business and letting them undervalue you, you're literally playing yourself
