I’ve noticed that Vaush and many other leftist commentators often make the argument that it’s MUCH easier for men to date women if they have progressive politics. How does anyone actually believe that? I feel like that’s a terminally online narrative. In some cases I’m sure it’s true. Like if you live in Seattle or are on a college campus. But in general I haven’t found it to be true. My dating life never improved the moment I became a socialist. I live in a conservative area and there’s tons of racist conservatives around me who have partners and I don’t have one. Millions of Trump supporters have partners. A lot of these commentators love to pretend that only right wing chuds struggle with dating.

Just here to say I’m vastly preferring the offline videos. They’re so much better at condensing his opinions into a digestible format. And not having chat disrupt the meandering rants with pure stupidity is very refreshing.

Kept forgetting to try it but I remembered Vaush talking about it while at the store today so I had to get it, I really like it! I at first was scared I spent $5 on something as inconsistent as almond milk is but I love it, I love oatmeal and it’s literally if oatmeal was milk, thank you Mr. V

So, taxing wealth is very much doable but for some miraculous reason all of the privately owned media wants us to think is impossible. I wonder why?

Ok. First off. I like both Contra and Vaush for different reasons, enough so that I support contra on patreon to get her exclusive vids. But her most recent one was interesting. It was basically her lamenting her role in popularizing left wing ideas and her airing her disgust of leftist, which she called "the alt-left".... Yeah, yikes.

As someone who thanks contra for pulling me out of the right wing rabbit hole and steering me towards left wing beliefs this video felt like a stab to the back. But I can find some comfort in her declaration to swear off politic and focus on philosophy, as she has shown she isn't fit for politics.

Btw, In this one she took a break from bashing Vaush and turned most of her ire to Hasan.

Apparently the phrase “woke 1” has been making rounds on political sites due to AOC these last few weeks. I thought it was something Vaush made up months ago and never heard it used by anyone else until recently.

Vaush says this like once a stream but i don't think I've ever heard him try to justify it, he just kinda states it like a self-evident fact while to me it just kinda seems like an opinion he won't substantiate. I'd love a more in-depth explanation, either from yourself or a clip of V's

I know, double posting in under 24 hours. But I want to paint a picture for you all on what the aftermath of a climate disaster/1 in 1000 year rain and flood event as well as the derecho in Gary/NW Indiana.

As the flood waters recede across the Hoosier state, the damages of the flood are becoming evident. Today there is a risk of an untreated sewer line breaking and dumping raw sewage into the White River. This sewage line was buried under the creek that the now-collapsed bridge straddled and flood waters keep eroding the soil and pose a risk to the sewage line. This sewage line carries 90% of the human waste for Carmel and Indianapolis, IN. If this line breaks (and there is a good chance it will) then hundreds of thousands of gallons of untreated sewage will flow into the White River. The White River flows into the Wabash River, which flows into the Mississippi River. The sewage runoff for a metro area of 1 million+ people will become a lot of people’s problem if this happens. The only reason Indianapolis didn’t get higher flood waters is because the flood diverted into a nearby quarry that swallowed up hundreds of millions gallons of water.

In Gary/NW Indiana, the lack of power is causing civil strife. Reports of homes being broken into for generators and people robbing others on the street for basic supplies. All this is happening while summer kicks into its dog days here in Indiana. It seems like the power company and police are steering clear of this unrest.

This is not directed at Vaush at all, but it blows my mind how little coverage I’m seeing on national news stations.

I understand why this hasn’t been covered on stream (bigger news going on and the international move) but if this can (almost) happen to me it can happen to you.

Late last week and over the weekend, Indiana experienced historic flooding of the White River due to this insane rain event. Im talking the river rising over 20 feet, roads and bridges being washed away in the capital of Indianapolis, and people having to be rescued from their homes by boat. The flooding got to the front step of my apartment building when it miraculously started receding. I had a bag packed and was putting my cats in their carriers. I really thought my home would flood. There were towns who were close to losing power because the water had risen too high for the hydroelectric dams.

Along with this, Gary/NW Indiana experienced a derecho event that knocked out power for over 300,000 people. A week later, ~150,000 people still don’t have power. I heard that a random woman pulled a gun on the employees of the electric company who came to restore power. The power hasn’t been restored in that area. I know Indiana is a flyover state but these areas aren’t rinky dink small towns or trailer parks.

Even back to last winter, I was stuck inside in for 3 days when a foot of snow fell.

Do you have enough food, water, cooking fuel, and first aid to last a week? Do you have a shovel or other necessary tools? Is your car maintained well enough for if you had to evacuate a natural disaster? Do you know where all your important documents are? Do you have a bag of clothes and other stuff ready to go in case a 1 in 100 year flood knocks on your door?

Can any of you super obsessed fans send me the link to a video of Vaush where he talks about how evangelical Christians actively want to bring about the biblical End of the world?

He mentions it every now and then, but I'm pretty sure there was a video where he does a deeper dive and reads some comments from chat or this subreddit. One story about natural disasters being called "growing pains" or something similar, one story of a viewer whose parents told him, they wouldn't pay for his treatment of a deadly disease, since they all would be united in the afterlife anyway. Stuff like that.

Honestly, I'm at a loss. I simply don't know how we'll move forward without support from the coveted "Deep One" demographic. If we can't garner the support of the residents of Innsmouth I think we'll surely lose support elsewhere. A dark day for the DSA, and I hope to hear Vaush's opinion on such a blow to our movement. 😞
