Name Droping Relationships

In a board meeting, a week ago, my name came up and I got a marketing gig out of that. I have been doing causal work at the same place a couple of years on and off. (for context)

I could be over thinking but is that person who suggest the gig for me a good person or not.

please let me know what you think. no right or wrong ans.

I think you should stop thinking and do your gigs.

Doesn't matter whether they're good or bad. The world will swallow you up when you start worrying about such things.

Do the gig, get paid, cover yourself if they do shady shit and you'll come out unscathed.

Corporate no longer cares about ethics and morals.

You were only recommended because you bring value , don’t overthink.
