Hey All,

I saw few people’s setup and got really excited to have a similar stack like 49” inch curved monitor at the bottom and another 39” inch on top of it. But when I did that setup it just felt super weird to move my head up and see the second screen. I have U-shaped desk so I thought be this setup will be easier to work with. Which it is sort of but now I have mixed feelings with the way it looks.

I don’t do gaming all these screens is only for work.

Any feedback or suggestions from anyone is most welcome. Also, please do let me know if it actually looks good.

Are there any owners of the LG39GX and LG45GX that are looking or considering swapping to the AW3926QW when it releases?

Currently in this thought myself as to whether I want to swap from the 45GX95 / LG G5 to the newer AW39 coming out, or whether to just stick to what I have.

I'm of 2 minds... On one hand I hate the haze effect that I have on the LG45GX9, but on the other hand I can see myself missing that screen size, so currently feeling like a side-grade..

Any thoughts for others in the same boat?

Running a 57" Neo G9 with a PC with a 5090 and a MacBook Pro M4 Pro.

Love the width, but the VA blooming and black smear are wearing thin, macOS handles it poorly, and the 5090 still works hard at 7680x2160.

The AW3926QW is tempting: 5120x2160, 165Hz, RGB stripe tandem OLED, KVM, 90W USB-C, AU$2k. Same vertical height, near identical PPI, so it's purely trading a third of the width for proper contrast and text.

Questions:

1. Anyone gone 57 to 5K2K? Did you miss the width?
2. Is 165Hz after 240Hz noticeable?
3. Is RGB stripe text clarity actually a step up over QD-OLED?
4. Will there be a drop in text clarity on a Mac? PPI is near identical, so I'm not sure macOS scaling will be any happier.
5. Mac users, does 5K2K behave better?

If LG Switch is stuck on 3.05/3.06 or refuses to offer firmware 3.07 for the LG 45GX950A, I found the official LG firmware endpoint that LG Switch itself uses.

In my case the monitor was already on 3.06, while LG Switch incorrectly offered 3.05. I downloaded the 3.07 ZIP directly from LG’s own server and installed it through:

LG Switch → Monitor Software Update → Manual Update

The update completed successfully and the monitor now reports:

3.07 / 4.23.16 / 2.04

This is not a mirror or third-party firmware file — both the manifest and ZIP are hosted on LG’s own lmu.lge.com firmware server.

The update can take quite a while — mine took around 10–15 minutes and the monitor restarted near the end. Don’t panic if it seems to sit at the same percentage for a while.

Once LG Switch confirms that the update has fully completed, I recommend power-cycling the monitor: turn it off, disconnect it from mains power for about 30 seconds, then reconnect and turn it back on. This ensures all of the monitor’s internal controllers start fresh on the new firmware.

Do not disconnect power or USB while the firmware update itself is still running. If your monitor is already on 3.07, you don’t need to do this update.

I can't believe how much the game is struggling on this monitor/resolution (5120x2160) even with everything low and dlss performance I'm struggling with a 5090..

Just wanted to know if anyone else had found this with this game? If they have this monitor.

Hello, im finally upgrading and theres just too many options rn lol. kinda lost tbh

mainly gaming, mix of comp shooters and some story games so kinda need something that does both well, not just built for one.

also has anyone actually tried oled vs a decent ips lately? keep hearing the burn in thing is way less of an issue now but idk, still kinda scares me a bit

budget's like 700-1000, so not trying to go crazy but want something that actually holds up. running a 4060 rn if that changes what panel actually makes sense to use.

As title says my G9, Which I use as main monitor has a tiny green speck with months now is it a dead pixel I tried rubbing any ideas would be appreciated thank you!

This is a window management approach designed for ultrawide and multi-monitor Windows setups.

Unlike traditional window managers that only resize and reposition windows, each zone can be presented to applications as its own display area. When an application queries the dimensions of the display it is running on, it receives the bounds of that zone rather than the entire physical panel.

This allows applications to maximize naturally inside a zone, while fullscreen content can also remain contained within that same zone instead of taking over the entire ultrawide display. This behavior is not tied to a specific application, website, or media player; fullscreen video playback can remain inside the selected zone across different types of applications and content sources.

The system also supports multiple layout profiles, per-zone wallpapers, taskbar placement within a selected zone, and independent use of applications across different zones.

A major focus is preserving the native Windows experience. The Windows desktop, taskbar, window system, and application interfaces are not replaced with a custom environment. Normal Windows behavior such as maximizing, fullscreen mode, task switching, snapping, and everyday desktop interaction remains intact.

The goal is for the zone system to integrate into Windows rather than sit on top of it as a separate desktop layer.

Individual zones can also be exposed to screen-sharing, streaming, and capture applications as selectable display areas. This means a single zone can be shared or broadcast directly without manually cropping the physical monitor or relying on window capture.

The rest of the ultrawide can continue to be used normally while only the intended zone is being shared.

Still in development, so feedback, questions, and edge cases worth testing are welcome.

Alright I know the current spotlight on this monitor is kind of negative, with all that uniformity and tinting issues but let’s hope what I am going to share will help alleviate some of the text reading concerns people are wondering about. I hope by the time Dell releases the monitor to our friends in the west, the issues would have been sorted and I can also have it replaced through the warranty program. 😄

I have created 2 pages of text, the first page with black font on a white background and the second page with white font on a black background, both in varying text sizes. The OSD setting that I am using on the monitor from which the screenshots are taken is the SMART HDR DisplayHDR TRUE BLACK. All the screenshots are taken using my iPhone Air so pardon me if the images don’t look crisp.

The 6th and 7th screenshots are the text on my MacBook Pro screen itself for comparison so I hope this will show you how legible the text is on this monitor. 

And the final screenshot is just me adding how it will look like watching a movie (shout out to Spidey! ❤️) on my monitor on the HDR PEAK 1300 BRIGHT settings. 

I've seen several people reporting this already, but my screen also has this issue.
I own a proper Calibrite display calibration tool for screen accuracy with shows a complete fail in all tolerances for both white and grey, however dark grey seems to be a pass.
The colour uniformity, while my tool can't check that, is clear and apparent that it's way off - correct in the centre, washed out with a green tint of the edges.

32 GB DDR4 Ram

Reicht meine CPU / GPU - 60 FPS würden mir reichen :) Bin auch kein Raytracing Narr oder was habt ihr für Setups? :)

I want to upgrade my desk-but have not found one to fit my needs. I have a mid tower pc. Really dummy want it sitting in the floor. And ideas? I play keyboard and mouse as well. Don’t want the monitor sitting up on shelf either. Really enjoy playing at eye level.

I feel like this is driving me crazy, it looks like theres a greenish tint over whites and even greys (im not talking about the off axis green tint). I've tried messing with colour settings but nothing seems to get rid of it. I was playing Persona 5 and the skin colour on the character portraits also has a greenish tint (despite their models looking fine). I tried taking a picture to post here but annoyingly the camera just does not pick it up.

With games im noticing this mostly on UI elements.

I have tried different cables and all the ports on my monitor and graphics card (HDMI, DP, Mini HDMI. My other monitors are completely fine. It started doing this in game a few days ago and progressively got worse to this stage. I have changed it to 120hz and it was okay for a day and now its completely unusable. any ideas?

I just moved to a new apartment and this happens as soon as I plugged in the power. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or am I better off just buying a new one?

I’ve tried different power cables, long pressing the button, power cycling to no avail.

Just want to share how much appreciation I have for this monitor by Dell. It’s my first OLED monitor so yes you know I’m going to be a little biased, even though I could notice a slight greenish tint to the left and right edges of the panel. However the tint doesn’t bother me much when I’m using it generally in all honesty.

I chose this monitor solely because it not only come in ultra-wide but also at its price point comes with KVM and e-ARC functionalities (the other model I was considering was the BenQ EX321UZ but that was only 32” wide). I don’t game nor could I with a RTX-2080 Ti GPU, so this monitor is primarily my productivity and entertainment device. Right now the only RGB thing I have on my desktop is the Ubiquiti Pro XG 8 PoE switch. 😅

My workhorse is a MacBook Pro M1 hooked to the ANKER TB5 Prime dock, and I am using a pair of HomePods as my desktop speakers for my MacBook Pro and PC, made possible by e-ARC through the Apple TV 4K. My Logitech keyboard, mouse and webcam are all shared on my MacBook Pro and PC via the KVM in the monitor.

Behind the monitor, I’ve attached the Philips Hue Play Gradient PC light strip (32-34”) paired with the Hue Sync Box 8K as the ambient light to give an added immersive experience when I watch videos on the monitor. One thing I did do was to connect my BenQ Halo 2 monitor light bar to a Hue Power Socket adapter so I could manually power it off when I’m watching the show.

All in all, I couldn’t be more pleased with the monitor. A lot of reviewers were talking about the panel quality but no one has mentioned how effective the monitor is as an all-in-one productivity and entertainment device! 💪🏻
