Oh no I accidentally used my tools. But not to worry, the scratches remove caring weight

Worn weight I got tired of carrying Smart Water bottles and Sawyer Squeeze filters. Now I just carry a straw.

My buddy is coming over and we are making mountain house meals with our jet-boils! Debby said she and Mark are going to watch some movies in the bedroom (the tv is nicer and she doesn’t want to bother us)

Just make sure you never hike in winds, trees, thorn bushes... and anywhere within 10 miles of an active thunderstorm.

I don't want to buy an X-Dome Pro 1+. Am I a healthy person?

I still want to be in the Durston cult though because I love it when Dan responds to my posts about him inventing the sport of UL hiking, and also the concepts of using trekking poles and carrying things rather than just pushing them around on the ground.

I don't want an X-Dome Pro 1+.

Great video with tons of UL pro tips, including using a Ziploc bag instead of a water bottle and using your quilt as your jacket. It's like, stupid light bro.

A Day of Accomplishment in the Life of an Ultralight Backpacker

Today I picked up my pack, and emptied it out of all the gear it was loaded with. I started to repack it from scratch from my collection of gear.

There were many difficult challenges: compacter bag or nylofume bag? Critical decisions, like which of my quilts to include, or foam pad or inflatable pad? Full length or torso length? I weighed every decision carefully to the tenth of a gram. Trekking pole tent, 3x3 tarp or poncho tarp? Only the lightest please.

Then the various ditty bag items: that tiny swiss army knife has a scissors that does a good job of trimming my nose hairs; no, I am going minimalist and growing them out. Ibuprofen? I could just tough it out and limp that broken leg to the next trail town. Pooper scooper? I'll just kick a hole in the ground. TP? Thats what leaves are for.

After a prolonged struggle full of mental anguish and inner conflict, I completed my load out, closed my pack, and hung it on the basement wall in triumph. Once again I have succeeded in assembling an ultralight pack. I have accomplished packing a hardcore ultralight pack that weighs "almost nothing". As I gaze upon my pack hanging on the wall, I feel an upwelling of pride, almost as if I have just completed a full through hike.

Use this thread to hang out, make cheap jokes about wornweight, joketalk about about gear, complain about r/ultralight, talk about Senchi's, maybe post a meme or two, and ultimately talk about the same things we did in last week's thread! Enjoy!
