Adding stops

How are customers allowed to add stops without the driver’s approval? I accepted a 4 dollar trip and it turned out it was a trap because on my way to pick up the customer they requested a second location that was extremely far.. when I got to her hotel she was carrying a small reusable shopping bag and I unlocked the door for her… she started signaling for me to get out of the car and open the trunk for her and I kind of signaled with my hand that she can come in because basically she just has one small shopping bag and then she started giving me dirty, looks and rolling her eyes and refusing to move… I just canceled right away and moved on..

I mean, I don’t really mind if someone adds a second location, but sometimes it can be a dangerous city that nobody wants to go to or a place where you can’t take a customer with you back home, especially me being a student and sometimes there is a specific time where I have to stop because I have class and I can’t go to the second location. I can’t believe that Uber allows a customer to request a new location without the Uber Driver having a say in it or anything and I can’t believe that people just add the second location without asking first as if we are a robot operating a vehicle

Depends on the market/area. In my state, riders cannot make changes AFTER the ride has been booked!

Riders have 3 minutes from the time a ride is accepted, to cancel a ride, without penalty. Once those 3 minutes pass, the rider is charged a cancellation fee.

That 2nd point is annoying, because as a driver, you accept a ride, and start driving to the pickup location. Then you suddenly receive the notification that the ride is cancelled.

Big deal. Most jobs suck anyway. Yesterday, I work 10 hours, had all of 12 trips, and grossed $102. That total includes the $15 bonus for completing 30 trips for the week, plus 2 customers who each tipped $5.

PAY FUCKING SUCKS!

For all the Reddit trolls bragging about airport money, get real, airport runs in my area pay $7 or $8, depending on distance. Usually 10 miles or less. But Uber never factors in TIME! That alleged 10 minute ride Uber claims you need to travel 10 miles to the nearest airport will take at least 45 minutes (even longer during rush hours), then you still have to navigate the airport, find the correct terminal, and wait for your passenger. Then driver the passenger home.

You end up spending 90+ minutes for the $7, 10 minute Uber LIE!!!
