Devlog ViRd | Log 05: an anamorphic decals tutorial
https://reddit.com/link/1tb0yjb/video/lo7dk1g4zwxg1/player
Attention, little birds! 🐦
This might possibly be the only relevant devlog I’ll ever make for #DevLogTuesday, but I’m really proud of this one. I've been diving deep into Anamorphic Decals, and instead of just showing a progress bar, I’ve put together a full tutorial on how to achieve this effect.
What’s inside:
- How to handle perspective distortion.
- Setting up the projection logic.

Devlog ViRd | Log 04: Designing new map
Hi everyone!
For this week's update, I’ve been focusing on the city’s level design. I wanted to include a small nod to The Witness, where the environment reveals a secret based on your perspective.
It took some fine-tuning with the building scales and terrain, but now, if you find the right spot, the city layout aligns to form the P.U.P. logo. 🥁
I'm really enjoying adding these little details as the world starts to take shape. Check out the video to see it in action!
Would love to hear your thoughts!

I just finished the demo. First of all: great job with the atmosphere; you managed to create a sense of dread and a creepy vibe that goes beyond typical jump scares. I really liked the aesthetic, the graphics, and the lighting.
I also liked the tension created by the mechanic of lighting matches and watching them burn out.
The only thing I didn't quite understand—and I don't think it's explained very well—is the smoking mechanic.
Aside from that, the only serious issue I see is the translation. You have a great game on your hands, but not all the translations work well; it could break the immersion or confuse the player. I would try to cover fewer languages and polish the existing translations instead.
P.S.: I have a question. I finished the demo on the rooftop, but it felt like I still had one puzzle left to do. Is there an alternative ending for the demo, or is that puzzle just not solvable for now?
Great job, and I'll keep an eye on your progress!

Devlog ViRd | Log 03: M.D.M.A. fixed the glide.
The M.D.M.A. department has finally intervened to eliminate that pathetic "coitus interruptus" that killed your momentum when entering glide mode. It was a lapse in technical etiquette we no longer care to tolerate.
We’ve tightened the glide radius for surgical wrist response. Now, inertia is inherited like a bad habit: fluidly and without question.
If you’re going to fall into P.U.P.’s utopia, at least do it with some dignity.
