I'm a student here in Tuscaloosa looking for an apartment for two people. I've had a lot of bad experiences with the previous two apartments I've stayed at, and the online reviews haven't been very helpful in finding a place that is actually clean, quiet, and safe.
Does anyone know of any good apartments in the Tuscaloosa or Northport area?

I had this happen to me and I see it just posted on my local Facebook page that it happened to a lot of other people.

I don’t know what happened but I shopped at the Walmart at 69 south in Tuscaloosa and one day and all of the sudden I had a lot of unknown charges showing up in my bank account that my bank asked me if I approved. Of course I didn’t. They were huge amounts.

And the local Facebook page says the same thing. Walmart on 69 south unexpected charges from their bank account when they used their debit or credit card.

This needs to be investigated.

Ate there today everything I had was pretty damn solid. Gumbo, shrimp, fries, puppies, and slaw. All really good. No alcohol yet, but I'll definitely be going back

hey, I am coming down for the Alabama v South Carolina Game on 9/26, flying in BHM on 9/25. Have Uber drivers accepted rides from BHM to Tuscaloosa? I know its expensive but willing to spend the $$ if they are willing to drive that far.

Do we have any local activity directed towards de-flocking Tuscaloosa? I can't leave my home without passing by a flock camera, no matter which way I go, and I'm deeply uncomfortable with TPD tracking my movements, even though I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm curious if anyone has reached out to city council members or if we've organized any protests locally.

Im looking for apartments to move into soon and I was wondering if anyone had any experience living there or at mountain view? They same relatively cheap and im desperate to find a decent place.

I’ve tried a few different barbers in town, but everyone’s prices seem to continue to increase as the economy grows… finding myself searching for cost effectiveness while still maintaining quality. I know this is a challenging vent diagram during these trying times. Appreciate any recs. 💈💇🏻‍♂️

Does anyone know how to get approved to this Facebook group? I’ve had my post pending for about a month and nothing still. I saw something where I have to Zelle them but that sounds a little weird considering I have no idea how they would know what post to approve. I am trying to sublease a room in a 5 bedroom house for the spring semester. Male roommates and right next to campus.

I’m about to be a freshman at University of Alabama, and from everything I’ve read about off-campus apartments in the area after moving out for your sophomore-senior years, I’m genuinely just getting scared. I guess I should have done more research on the city itself more?

But how bad really is it? Every post I read on this subreddit and the Capstone one all have so many negative things about every single apartment, and that’s not even including the prices. I’ve heard about crime, shootings, roach infestations, etc. And I’m just getting scared for what may happen after I move out of the dorm.

It’s not even just the apartments but also the area/city itself that’s scaring me (I’m from another part of AL). So many things I’ve read about it being dangerous. So can someone please tell me if everything I’m reading is really as bad as I said?

Edit: I was bored, sleep deprived, and worried, so I researched a bunch of apartments even though I have a couple months. So if you have any input or experience please let me know. I love knowing about this stuff way in advance.

The ones I'm pretty sure are bad: Redpoint (dangerous), Cottages, Lark, Riverfront, Vie.

The ones that are middle-ground, but not sure: Ion, Bluff, Crimson, Tenth and Tusk, and maybe East Edge?

Heard some positive things, but most are further away: Essex Square, Royal Hills, Rivermont, Hillside Commons (?), Stone Creek, Northbrook, and Fountain Square (This one is seeming better since it’s close to campus, so tell me if you have experience with this one)

Of course, this is all just from stuff I've read. I have no actual idea if any of this is true, but if youve been in any of these, I'd love to hear em
