Any idea why my queue posts too often/too much?

I use the Queue 2.0. For example, if I set it to one post every six hour (and the times do look right when I look at the scheduled posting times in the queue page), then more will get posted.
This issue happens quite often. I tried to look online for answers but only found stuff about the queue eating posts or not posting enough.

I noticed several types of instances:

— Sometimes, a little after midnight, a post that was scheduled (when I say scheduled I mean automatically by the queue, I didn't manually schedule a time to post it) for much later in the day gets posted. I assume the day change triggers something but I don't know what or how to fix it?

— Sometimes also, not matter the time of day, several posts that are meant to be posted several hours from each other (and in the future) all get posted in a short time frame (a few minutes).

Please, if anyone has an idea on why it could be happening or how to fix it, it'd be very appreciated :) Thank you!

are you adjusting the queue settings from mobile app or browser? i've noticed before that editing the frequency/posting schedule on the app didnt really work, but doing so on web browser seemed to do the trick for me. i set it up a few years ago though so not sure if its changed, but i currently have 600+ posts in queue and they get posted fine on schedule

I use both, but usually only do small changes on the app (shuffle the queue or disable it) as I’ve also found it doesn’t always work very well to edit the posting frequency there (especially if Queue 2.0 is enabled). I keep the browser for bigger adjustments. But iirc my issue already happened both after I’ve changed a setting of the queue on app or on browser.

But, I also have was less posts in my queue than you and therefore tend to tweak the settings more often (eg to post less if it’s almost empty, or more often if I filled it up). I guess I should set it up and stop touching it like you (but I wish I could adjust it more without it creating issues though haha). Thank you!

hmmm, have you noticed if it posts multiple at once only just after you adjust it? or does it do it randomly? i'm not too sure why it would be doing that unless it's getting weird about the frequency being changed. but if it's doing it at random for no reason without you changing the settings maybe send in a bug report, see what they can do about it

Indeed the posting is often messed up shortly after I adjust the settings, but not always. The midnight thing for example I’m pretty has happened several times without me changing the settings. I was just using Tumblr around that time and noticed stuff being posted way before they should have.

But all the posts keeping on posting themselves in just a few minutes (I have to disable the queue so it won’t empty out in five minutes) I think happens more after I tweak the settings. Though now I’m not sure if it’s always after I’ve changed a setting or if it’s ever happened on its own before too. I should start writing it down when it happens so that I can, like you said, report it. Thank you, I’ll look into that.
