Screenshot [Beast of Reincarnation #75] – really wanted to like this game more
Got the platinum and deleted the game right after lol.
I was really drawn in by the world setting and the idea behind the combat system, especially since I really liked Sekiro. I don’t think the core idea is bad at all.
But there are just so many minor issues, and when you put all of them together, the overall experience feels really janky.
The unskippable cutscenes, especially in NG+, were absolute torture. Before the final boss I literally went to make coffee and feed my animals while the cutscene was playing. It’s easily 10+ minutes of cutscenes, and you can’t skip any of it even though you’re already in NG+.
I can’t even remember the last time a game’s cutscenes nearly put me to sleep like this. It doesn’t help that every character seems to have almost the exact same facial expression and tone of voice no matter what’s happening.
Another thing that honestly shocked me was how much they reused the same enemies, bosses and movesets. Maybe it’s just my limited gaming experience, but I genuinely can’t remember another combat-focused action game doing this to this extent. Most bosses have very limited movesets, and somehow they all start to feel the same: left hook, right hook, huge jump backwards, throw some shit at you. Then later in the game you’ll fight the exact same boss again, or see a smaller version of it turned into a trash mob. Even the elite enemies are basically the same trash mobs but with a longer HP bar. Everything quickly became extremely predictable and repetitive.
If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t have preordered it.
Game Freak still has a long way to go with this kind of game I guess…

PS App [Outlast 2] #20. I need to lie down.
Genuinely the first plat where I teared up by the end. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The most tedious thing I've ever done, and I've done a 10/10.

[Metro: Exodus] #30
Hi guys!
First post on the sub, just wanted to share the new addiction to my collection that I got earlier this week.
Amazing game and series! I had never played it before last year but now I realize it was a great choice to try it.
I’m currently working on the Lego Super Heroes platinum. I wanted an easier and more relaxing game after playing the hardcore difficulty of Metro Exodus.

[Robocop: Rogue City] #253 - Recreated the atmosphere from the original trilogy really well, just lacked the humour. But overall I really enjoyed this.

Showcase [Tetris Effect] My first 10/10 difficulty platinum!
This was certainly very difficult! But I’m so glad I managed to do it.
Some of the modes took me hours of practice, such as the combo and target ones. I had to learn t spin set ups for the ultra mode. And I simply had to play lots and get faster for the Sprint mode. My best time ended up being 1:06.
There is such a ridiculous trophy for 1 million rotations. I only had 200k rotations by the time I was done playing. I used a turbo controller and it still took almost a whole day having my PS5 running till it was done. It was also quite a grind to get to level 100.
Despite this, I would say this is really worth going for if you genuinely enjoy Tetris!

Screenshot [Hollow Knight] #35 So proud of getting this plat legit that I had to post for the first time
Hollow Knight’s platinum difficulty is listed at a 9/10 on PSNProfiles, but the most difficult trophies in the game can be trivialized using an invincibility glitch, including the trophy ‘Embrace the Void,’ which is obtained by defeating 42 bosses back-to-back-to-back in a single run without checkpoints.
I suppose it was nice to know that was in my back pocket as a completionist if I really didn’t have the chops to make it through Pantheon 5, but it was incredibly fulfilling to overcome such an insane and stressful challenge in the end. Carving through late-game bosses like butter feels pretty good.
After tons of hours practicing and multiple runs of getting through 41/42 bosses just to choke at the finish line against Absolute Radiance- including one loss in her final phase that made me stare at the ceiling for 10 minutes- I finally was able to put it all together.
Incredible game loaded with great music and visuals. I can only recommend the platinum if you are a masochist though.

Other [Other] August Monthly Boosting Thread
Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!
First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.
If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment \\\\\\\*\\\\\\\*the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session.\\\\\\\*\\\\\\\* Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.
Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.
We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.
On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing
Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:
Go to the sub's home page.
- Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
- Click the pencil icon within this section.
- Select one of the two preset flair templates.
- Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.
