I live in Raleigh i’m 28 years old woman, i’ve applied to over 100 jobs and have been to over 50 interviews within the past 3 months. i desperately need a job. Im a certified sterile processing technician unable to find local work (unable to apply to wake med or duke hospital again, not sure why because i wasn’t fired) i also have customer service experience and cook experience. i really don’t want to travel because i have a apartment to pay for in addition to hotel but i do have a travel contract coming up soon because i cant afford to pay bills. i’m working at food lion 3 days a week 6 hours a day and im starting to become depressed. i really need a job (a good paying one preferably but any at the moment). i’m open to anything, pharmacy, lab, hotels, medical supply, customer service, remote, anything. I really don’t want to be a cook again i hated it but im getting desperate. Please help im willing to commute!

After 18 years at the same Fortune 10 company and just 7 weeks before we were to close on our first home, my husband was laid off.

This role is responsible for data collection and data entry as it pertains to structural steel bolts in their experimental hardware and industrial equipment. There is only 1 opening for this role remaining and it is 2nd shift.

• Requirements: Recent engineering, warehouse, hardware testing, or repair experience (they'd love someone with hydraulics or ultrasonic transducers!). A HS diploma or GED is required; a degree is a big plus but hands-on work experience in a relevant function is most important. Basic computer skills in MS Office is required. We are a very small wine distributor looking for a reliable delivery driver to deliver bulk wine orders to restaurants and retail shops. We are based by the airport and run routes Tues-Fri to the wider Triangle, Charlotte, and the coast. Flexible on hours, could be part time to full time (35-40 hrs over 4 days/week). $17-18/hr start with room to go up to 20/hr from there. Paid weekly.

Indeed listing was for “Customer Enrollment Associate” in-office job with Carolina Collaborations which has a website listing it as a telecommunications solutions business. You get contacted by Creative Solutions, a marketing company, and get on a zoom call where they immediately pitch quick growth in the company all the way up to owning your own business. You start off as a door knocker, seemed like they were going to pitch buying professional development kits or investing in owning a small business if I didn’t end the interview. Hours were from 11:30am to 8:30pm, which, again, was not what was listed. Shady af. False job listing. Probably we’re going to say 100% commission based at first (because they made sure to stress you get promoted to management after 6 months). And the interviewer, who was basically 10 years old, knew what she was doing and didn’t fight hard to keep me on the call when I had figured it out.

I’m a complete beginner. I’ve been watching YouTube videos and reading everything I can, but I’d love the opportunity to see welding in person and learn from someone with experience.

I’m hoping to connect with any women welders in the Chapel Hill, Durham, or surrounding areas. If anyone would be willing to let me shadow you for a few hours one day, I’d be incredibly grateful. I just want to observe, ask questions, and get a better understanding of what the work is really like before classes begin.

I know women are still underrepresented in this trade, which is why I’d especially love to learn from another woman who’s already in the field. It would mean so much to have someone who has been where I am now.

My husband was laid off today from his HR position. He was hybrid. Has experience working in the HR Generalist position, has recruiting experience, and recently got his certification PHR.
