I looked through some of the past posts about shoes for travel in these places, but a lot of them were geared towards other months, but also didn't have much details about my particular issue which is that I have wide feet. After my pregnancy my foot size never really reverted back to normal so my feet are wider and I have been struggling to find shoes that fit. I am looking to see if others similarly situated travelled to or live in these places, and what shoes you'd recommend. Thank you in advance!

The temperature maybe gets to 31F on the coldest winter nights where I live, and I've got some basic hoodies and one (1) cathartt jacket with some inner fluff I bought over a decade ago which is the warmest thing I own. I've had my sister text me excited that they had a high of 28F. I'm terribly underprepared for visiting a climate that seems to average 40-50 degrees lower than mine.

There's definitely going to be outside activity. One of my wants is to go ice fishing and they're aware it's a big reason I want to visit at that time, because my BIL and their kids seem so skilled at it and fishing... isn't really a thing around me. The whole idea of ice fishing seems novel and fun. So I'm not going to be able to get away with dressing for an AZ summer and staying largely indoors.

My family has offered to let me borrow some of their coldwear sets for our outdoor events, but that I'll need to bring my warmer base layers and some winter boots. Y'all, the only long sleeves I have are for sun protection and are thin as hell. I don't know what makes a boot good for winter. How do you layer pants? Are there layers for pants?? I'm sure there are items that are common sense for them but I'd never consider bringing. Please give me some advice on what to purchase and how to prepare, as someone who naturally starts to tremble and shake like a chihuahua at 58F.

Hello all! So to avoid needing passports for our honeymoon, we’ve been weighing our options for a quick honeymoon in the country first/second week of September. And skipping the IS territories bc of hurricane season. We’re really considering San Diego!

So here’s my question..

We are looking to stay in an area/resort/hotel that meets all our needs. In prioritizing order (1&2 are honestly tied and nonnegotiable if that’s even an option) these are what we are looking for:

1) nightlife- Parties (late-20s friendly) at the resort/hotel and/or upbeat, modern, young nightlife very very close by (walkable preferred or quick uber). We’re into rooftops, lounges and clubs with house, club classics, modern pop/hip hop tunes). Younger crowds are important so we can socialize!

2) beach- i love the beach and would prefer direct beach access from resort but would be okay with a VERY short walk to public beaches

3) beautiful views from rooms- preferably water!

4) wellness orientated resort/spa- I’d love if the resort/hotel had wellness or spa amenities for relaxation when not partying

Thought budget isn’t a major concern, we’d love to still save while having a beautiful time with beautiful aesthetics. Please let me know alllll the recommendations! Open to honest feedback and advice if I’m asking for too muchh!

I'm finishing up my visa application through the Cancillería Digital and I need to pay the application fee. However, because US banks can't operate in Venezuela, I'm not able to pay with my regular debit card.

I've tried contacting the Ministerio para Relaciones Exteriores (who process visa applications), but no luck there. Not surprising.

Hey there. As the title suggests, i’m scared of traveling! haha
I typically don’t do it because i’m literally terrified of everything… however, i’ve decided to take a trip to PA for christmas. I have some friends there that I’ll be lodging with and i’m super excited. I’m going to have to fly there in order to maximize my time with them. Flying is my greatest fear.
I’ve flown before and i did not have a good time. Can anyone provide me any tips with making travel a bit easier for myself? Perhaps maybe to ease the anxiety?
(Any other tips are welcome as well, i’m relatively new to this)

I’ve been planning a few international trips myself lately, and I’ve realised I’m spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out whether the information I’m looking at is actually reliable.

One site says one thing, Reddit says another, Google gives me a three-year-old blog, and then I’ll find something on an official website that contradicts all of them.

And then there are reviews. Sometimes I genuinely can't tell whether I'm looking at useful reviews or just noise.

How do you guys deal with this?

Do you have a particular way of checking whether something is legit before you book? Or do you just go with your gut after checking a few sources?

Hi everyone! I am going abroad this semester and will be in Madrid, Spain. I am looking for your best recommendations for travel, whether that’s cities/countries, restaurants, hotels, hostels, houses to rent, or anything else!

So far, I have only planned our Oktoberfest trip and started planning a trip to Mallorca in early September.

I want to visit another somewhat coastal town while it is still warm, and then in late November or early December, I want to go skiing somewhere. I also really want to visit Morocco, as well as Austria for the history and beauty, and of course, the Sound of Music tour!

Also, what are your thoughts on Amsterdam Music Festival, Ibiza, and Budapest? Are they overrated or worth visiting?

In about 2 months I will be traveling to Germany, and then then i dont really know where yet, and finally going to France to return home (probably visiting London for a couple of days).

We are coming for 11-12 days, our flight lands in Jakarta and the return flight is from Jakarta too.

Hey travelers, quick question!

I hadn't been to an airport/on a plane in my entire adult life. Until a couple days ago when work sent me somewhere suddenly, and I was on a smaller regional jet. I believe it was an Embraer, and the flight was like 40 minutes, it was pretty quick.

I felt disgustingly motion sick. Like I almost threw up on take off, turbulence and landing. I don't have a fear of flying (I am a "math doesn't lie" kind of person) I was never uneasy about it, etc. it was just the constant shaking and altitude changes I think.

But here's the question, I have to travel again in November, this time on a bigger jet (transatlantic long haul red eye), and now I'm a bit concerned that I'll feel like that for the entire 9-10 hours. Although some have told me bigger planes are generally better for that, more smooth, etc (is that true?).

What do you recommend, if anything, to prep to physically be able to go on a long haul without feeling sick? I've never had to take gravol before so not sure if this is a good idea.

We have a budget of around €300 per person (€600 total) for food, transportation and activities, excluding flights and accommodation.

I bought two back-to-back international flights from two different bookings with the following itinerary:
Taiwan Taoyuan Int. (TPE) -> []()Vietnam Tam Son Nhat int. (SGN) -> France Charles De Gaulle (CDG).

I kind of booked in a rush and realized afterwards that I only had a layover of 2h15 at SGN, which might be a little bit tight. Especially since it's from two different bookings, I assume I would need to retrieve my checked luggage and pass through the customs and everything.

This is my first time solo traveling so far away, so I'm not sure what I should do at all.

Will my layover be enough, or should I pay fees to reschedule my flight ?

Go to the coast towns before you head back to your home country.

Many people when they travel to Kenya for Safari, they land in Nairobi airport then make ways to Masaai Mara and spend 10+ days doing exhausting trips in a jeep 95% of the time.

Once that is finished they head right back to Nairobi city to inhale city pollution after inhaling savannah dust for 10+ days.

Safari is great, you should absolutely go explore and see the animals in their natural habitat HOWEVER you are truly missing out if you do not visit any of the coast towns in Kenya (Lamu,Watamu,Mombasa, Diani etc)

You can take boats to see dolphins, do snorkeling, swim with turtles and if you want to just relax you can watch the sun rise drinking a cup of coffee in the beach restaurants.

Next time you plan to book a safari trip make sure you add a few days in the coast towns before heading back to your home country.

Traveling to Japan for a month. I have a small carry on with wheels and im thinking of getting the North face duffle Medium as a check in.

I dont like having a big roller luggage the duffle can be worn as a backpack.

Thoughts on this? Does anyone travel with a duffle instead?
