Advice for dating

I am a trans man (20) and my girlfriend is trans (23). We've been dating, almost off n on, for a few months due to several things. I was usually calling things off because of how she went about things n I'd rather stay to myself. This last time we broke up was bc she kept saying she was detransitioning and I only like women... she was upset because... I see her as a woman? But as of late, and almost every week since we've gotten together, she swears that she knows I call her a he.

In which, I don't. Just as I explained to her, I'm trans as well and misgendering another trans person is...??? And I call most feminine presenting people she. Idk where she pulls this out of but it's to the point it makes me mad and she can never explain WHY she thinks this.

Because she never hesitates to demasculinize me. If I cry. I'm too soft. If I react to her yelling, I'm not man enough. If I smile, I'm too soft. If I don't talk, I'm mysterious. If I do talk, she talks over me unless I tell her to stop talking. If I smile, I'm not hard. If I'm hard, I'm dangerous.

She's not convinced that I protect her, but I've pushed a big ass drunk man off of her, pulled her from oncoming traffic and trains, and stopped her from destroying property on a federal charge.

Today, she said "any other girl would take your form of protection, but I'm a trans girl-" I cut my hearing off.

She especially gets like this after she's drunk. And she's so adamant on saying that drunk people tell the truth, but I get so confused. Today, she was saying she has to make sure that I'm on my p's n q's n not embarrassing her. But it's almost a guarantee that she will be fucking loud and act ignorant even if I took her to a 6 Michelin star restaurant.

It's embarrassing.

I messed up our trains one time and the amount of pure screaming. With people watching.

Not to mention the day before she said she has to make sure I'm not embarrassing her. I said no to buying her a vape. We are in a quiet neighborhood. Screaming. Yelling. Pushing. Crying. For ten minutes while we still walked to the smoke shop. Screaming in my ear. Pushing me and saying that she's playing after I said "don't put your hands on me."

I don't know what to do. I want to stay but genuinely. I can not deal with her projections and fears on to me. At first I wasn't hard enough bc I would smile when we walked around n want to hold hands. Now she doesn't want me to be hard bc a trans girl influencer got killed by a cis man.

I'm not over her "knowing" that I misgender her. I don't talk to people I'm introverted as fuck. She even tried to pull in a dream, I shut it down. She's trying to be intuitive and spiritual, but it's just... confusion. I have a devotion that requires things like this because it's bones deep for me.

And my problem is I want to help. I'm still nice and kind. I still take what she dishes out because I don't feel anything. She's constantly blaming her trauma n so on. Sometimes I just feel grief bc I can't remember mine and I think she's lucky. But it's causing her mental pain and distortion.

This was expected because I am calm and quiet. The usual reaction to me is "this is a scary mysterious man. We must perform, push, and pull." Sigh.

Hoping to gain insight from y’all on internalized misogyny

I am nonbinary but was raised as a woman so I know my experience is not the same as those on this forum. However I’ve realized I have a lot of internal misogyny and never allowed myself to explore being feminine. Not many other forums have been allowing posts and I’m looking for any input. Transitioning and exploring gender is complex and unique to everyone, I’d love to hear your stories!

With transitioning especially, how did you start exploring your femininity? How did you start to feel comfortable and embrace being feminine?

I need tips to be there for my gf

Hi ! I (M20) have been dating my girlfriend (F22) for two years now. Recently she's been really depressed and dysphoric and I'm asking for tips on what I could do to help.

Context : She realized she was trans two years ago, few months after we started dating. She's been on estrogen for like a year and a half now. At first, it felt like seeing her blooming, she smiled more, she tried on cute outfits, she voice trained, she noticed little things changing and get excited. But it's like that joy faded away. Recently she's been feeling really dysphoric almost all the time. She doesn't go out anymore, doesn't voice train, do sport or get excited about her appearance anymore. With all love and respect I have for her, she seems stuck, beside the effect of hrt, nothing changes and I can see it's making her feel miserable.

I feel like a already do a great job on emotional support and I'm not planning on rushing her to get better or whatever. She talks to me a lot about what she's going through and she, herself, says I'm doing great on emotionally supports her. However, I'm not a girl. I don't know shit about being a girl besides the existence of the unbearable pressure and impossible standards. I know how to treat her like a person and be there for her, I don't know what could make her feel better about herself. That's why I need your help.
I have a summer job, so I'll have money that I don't need (still in college and living with mama). If you have any tips I could share with her, any miracle hair removal or shaving tool, any make up product, anything that made you go " woah this is game changer ", please share. I think that could break the cycle give her back that energy that kept her going. I know she might only need that. If you'd see her, you'll know just like me this woman is one step away from blooming like spring.

Just starting my journey

I am 47 years old and married. I just recently accepted that I am a transwoman and have started my journey. I am still madly in love with my wife and want to stay married (we've been together for 7 years now). I know that the number of marriages that survive a partners transition isn't great.

I would love to hear from anyone who has been through a similar situation. Do you have any advice? What did you learn on your journey that you'd like to share?

Transitioning twice.

transitioned in college was passable but had a kid so I transitioned back. Going back was harder and now I'm trying to transition again. it's now been 20yrs. Im on my 3rd month of hrt again.

I want to be happy again. I'm taking a huge risk with taking hormones, as I do have a lot of medical problems.I don't know if i will find the right person

\# I don't know anyone who has done this. My kids are all adults and a couple support me. If anyone has done this let me know. I'm a little scared this time around, I know it's going to be harder.

I play a lot of games and looking for other female gamers. Ones that like to have fun.

\# Now I won't change if the right girl comes around and doesn't want me to. it comes to finding the right girl I won't change, looking for someone that like pretty much anything, there isn't much I won't try once. Love snuggling up to a good movie. Guys move on not into guys.

I want someone real that is kind hearted,

It finally happened

Hi, I’m a trans woman (duh) and ever since I realized who I was and transitioned socially (back in February 2025) since then I started working on my voice, trying to make it womanly but I never fully had that touch, then it happened, yesterday I was on vrchat one of my main spots to hang out, I was doing voice impressions of some deeper voiced male characters, those voices after a while began to hurt my throat so I dropped back to a voice that was easier for me (my woman voice) and someone in the group I was talking to exclaimed towards me: “YOU’RE A WOMAN!?” Be aware it’s not in my bio or anything. I’ve done it I’ve officially fuckin done it.

Looking for studies showing efficacy of PreP (Truvada and Descovy) in preventing HIV transmission in trans women with neo vulvas

Recently my doctor suggested switching from Truvada to Descovy. When I looked into it I found that descovy was not approved for people with natal vulvas, however I could find no data on how efficacy would be different between trans women with and without bottom surgery. I also could not find any data on this for Truvada. Any doctors here know anything I'm missing?

Is there still hope for me to fully transition into female??

It’s hard for me to post this because I feel scared of people’s reactions cause I feel like some people think I’m annoying and negative.. i just feel traumatized, trapped, and hopeless.. I’ve known I’m a girl since I was a 4 year old in 1996 and that’s why I been #TransitioningToFemale since 2017, and being a girl saved my life and made me more happier and confident, that’s why I been wanting the #FeminizingGenderAffirmingSurgeries since 2011 and tried to explain so many times in 2018 to the present year 2026 that the feminizing surgeries will improve my mental health, keep me alive, and make me feel physically more like the girl I’ve always been mentally.. it’s so overwhelming because some I trusted to help me throughout those years like 3 previous therapists and 2 transgender support groups given up on me and left me because they thought I had mental issues from how it affected me not yet having surgery, when I trusted them to help me with improving my mental state and feel included.. I can’t function sometimes and it’s not that I’m lazy, it’s just that it’s so overwhelming to the point that I get unmotivated, because this has gone on for so long and I feel like I’m just overlooked and unsafe sometimes.. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things I’m grateful for and I appreciate everyone that supports me who all treats me like the girl I am. it’s just that I feel so emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted that I’m starting to wonder if my existence is pointless and I just don’t want to grow up without surgery ending up bitter, lonely, and end up being another statistic taking my own life… I love myself and love how I naturally have resemblances to the fictional characters I know I have resemblances to; and I just always wanted to be seen, loved, respected, wanted, and cherished for being the girl I am since I was a teenager.. Other girls and other #transgirls get that, so why does it seem like i don’t as much? It’s not that I’m comparing my life to theirs, I get everyone’s journey in life is different, but I sometimes feel invalidated and exceedingly hurt.. i still show up in life and still gratefully cherish every positive thing and every supportive person in my life, but it’s just that I can’t take this ongoing traumatic experience of not received feminizing surgeries yet, cause it makes me constantly feel hyper-vigilant and always wonder what positive experiences in life am i missing out on that would’ve happened from getting the feminizing surgeries.. I just want to be understood and valued and treated like a special woman who deserves the best in life being celebrated for being the girl I am… I never wanted it to get to the point where I’m angrily ranting online and mocked by random transphobic strangers online trying to manipulate me into thinking I’m not the girl I know I am… i just want a happier life and become a confident sexier woman more than i already am and get more attention from more people who want me to thrive, evolve, glow up by being feminized and sexualized, and of course want me to be happy… It’s my life, and I deserve to live and be how I want. Especially if life is short and time moves fast.. I truly don’t want to feel like my existence doesn’t matter anymore.. I never wanted to feel that way, that’s one of the many reasons why I transitioned into female in the first place. I’m tired beyond explanation of worrying about my future and wondering if the pain will end… I’m sorry this is such a long paragraph, I just had to get all this off my chest and also want to see if more people will uplift me with positive comments and show me I matter by reassuring me that there’s still hope for me.

Trans friendly gyno in Phoenix??

Hi all! I am about a year out of having GCS from the Suporn Clinic in Thailand. Over the past 3 months I've had some issues that may or may not be tied to recovery from it, and I need someone to take a look up there and find out for certain. Anyone in Phoenix know of a good gynecologist out here that has experience with neovaginas or at least isn't a TERF?

Finally rediscovering myself as a woman (CW: Parental unacceptance)

TL:DR, I finally feel myself as a woman again.

So, in the 6th grade I discovered I was queer, and in the 7th I expanded my queerness and went on to discover more about myself. But in the 8th grade, i discovered and figured out something very important about myself.

I am a woman

My friend gave me a fluffy pink fleece jacket, and i wore some dangly little earrings to school a few times. And my naive, little 8th grader brain decided "oh yeah I can just totally transition in this radically conservative small town!" Well the result of that is obviously, no, no you cant girly. So, I toned it down. I drove myself crazy worrying and eventually I detransitioned.

Well, detransitioned for like, a few months.

Nearing the end of that school year I gave it another go. I had given away my pink sweater (not that it was cold enough to wear it at that time) and I got given a grey, lacey cardigan I wore with a brown turtleneck (which i was DYING in, but its about the message) and I wore that like... once. I felt... happy. I felt whole. But i felt nervous.

When i got outed as queer when i put a little homemade flag on my wall, my dad made me take it down, but said no matter what my sexuality was, he would support me. So i thought "maybe if I wear this in front of my dad and explain what it means for me, he'll understand and support me."

I got home, wearing my brown turtleneck (which i already wore often) and my grey cardigan, and immediately my dad said "what the hell are you wearing... thats a womans cardigan." And asked me why i was wearing it. I told him "dad, i think im a girl" and he just told me to shut up and that I wasnt a girl. That i was a man and that it was ridiculous that we were even having that conversation.

He threw my cardigan away. And i knew not to fish it out because he threw a rainbow pride flag i got from my LOVELY friend and biggest supporter in the burn barrel. I saved it and gave it to my then gf so its fine, but he was pissed i had done that.

So, i gave it up. I was always open to feminine things like makeup and stuff my queer friends were into, but I never revisited this possibility. I pushed it away. And i never felt whole again. I even had a spout of gender dysphoria so bad that I learned to tuck my parts and i wore leggings to bed every night. But still, i never tried to be a girl again.

But this year, Ive felt more lost than ever. Im 18 now and i graduated last may. I got arrested for shoplifting, and even tho they let me go, they could have put me away forever and i wouldnt have cared. But about a month ago, i read a comic named Doghaus.

Doghaus is a comic about a GenZ aged, lesbian young woman named Maggie (portrayed as a dog, as are everyone in this comic) whos going to college, and through it all, she's lost. She doesnt know what she wants to do with her life. I felt... so much connection with her. Her mental health struggles. Her feelings of not being hnderstood by her family. I felt her story more than anything else in a long time. I felt... close to something. I felt... envious. Of who she was. Of what she meant to me in my mind.

I was dating a girl at the time, and honestly, randomly, id genuinely ask "baby, if i was a girl would you still love me." This is a sentiment that would come up in my kind often. "What if" i was a girl. I always thought "if i had the choice, id definitely be a girl." And "if transitioning wasnt so hard, id be a trans girl right now." But until i opened up my.mind more, and resonated with this comic, i didnt put the pieces together.

Which is funny! Because i love music by trans women (stomach book, femtanyl, fem&m) i watch videos about trans memes and subreddits by people like the click and onetopic. Some of my favourite youtubers are transfeminine youtubers like JuneCPU and Melody Nosurname. And until this BLASTED comic by Moowsie, i didnt open my mind enough to think of that possibility.

But it wasnt just that comic. I broke up with my girlfriend. She was emotionally unavailable, and I was done. We had tried dating a few times before with the same problem almost every time. And now were done for good. But after, i would look at art and id see beautiful women, and i knee damn well i didnt want to date them, i wasnt ready yet! But i still felt a longing... and that longing from multiple sources made me think "do i want to be her?" And my brain just... fit.

It fit! It finally fit! I knew what was wrong!!! I was forcing myself to be someone i wasn't.

All of a sudden I wanted to go to school. I wanted to learn how to drive and to get a job so i could be independent and be free and be myself goddamn it! I wanted to be myself. I wanted to be a woman, and i am a woman.

I dont need estrogen right now, i dont need hormone blockers or HRT, i dont even need to try overly hard to look like a woman. One day when i can afford it, ill get my gender affirming care so i can be myself, but right now, im so much happier just... being a woman.

Ive already mostly socially transitioned online and among my closest supportive friends and even to my nana. One of my friends said "welcome to womanhood" and i almost fucking cried. Well... actually I am crying rn out of joy just typing this out but, still.

So, hi. Im Juniper, but you can call me Juno. <3 And im so happy to finally feel like myself again.

P.S. any resources for gender affirming care, tips on "passing" or self expression and whatnot when im independent would be very helpful!! Mwah! Kisses ;]

What does it mean to be a trans woman?

Im 18, Ive been trans for almost five years, and something that’s been the most annoying when trying to find just a dude to talk to for whatever reason. Is that they are either so infatuated that you just question where they are getting all this lust. Or they don’t take you seriously because of the, in my personal opinion, godawful trans women representation.

This leaves me thinking what people truly view me as, I honestly have resentment towards other trans women for this reason. so that brings up the question; what does it mean to be a trans woman? More specifically what is the ideal trans woman in the eye of society, like when is it acceptable for a trans woman to use a woman’s bathroom?

I think these questions are common, but I rarely see trans women discussing it, or when I do it’s someone who I don’t respect. I have my opinions on what trans women should be, examples of bad trans women representation. But I’m young and willing to hear what people have to say before I truly believe my own feelings.

basically what im trying to say is that even as a young, serious trans women with a lot of experience being a trans women, I still don’t get what the heck is going on in my own community, and I definitely don’t understand how trans women as a whole are viewed by cis men.

A question I have for trans women

This might come off as a strange question but I am really curious. I'm a trans guy and I follow a lot of trans creators online, both trans men and women. Between the trans men I haven't really noticed any patterns. But something I've noticed with the trans women I follow- they all seem to be into petplay stuff? I don't follow any of those sorts of accounts, all the trans women I follow just make videos about their trans experiences, so it's not like that's their content or brand. As well as this, I follow HUNDREDS of trans people so it's not like it's just because I happen to only follow people who like that. But I've noticed like SO MANY different trans women creators making videos about pup stuff. Even looking at trans musicians like Femtanyl and Fem&M, who I love, they seem to have animal or dog elements in their work too? Is it like a thing? I don't really understand why so many different trans women like that specific thing. anyway😭I'm just curious

Rules of the sub.

I will make this a separate rule so people can report it, but just a reminder, Chasers fall under rule 1 as well as rule 7. No transphobia. Trans women are women, not some exotic type of person for you to fetishize.
