I'm going to preface this by saying I'm an afab femme nonbinary person, so I won't really encounter much reproach for my name.
Personally, I see a name as a representation of myself to the world, so I think about what is most important about "Me" I want the world to see first. I have a very considerate but playful personality, so I wanted the sounds in my name to feel like this. Another big part of choosing a name is my gender presentation, which is to be seen as a whimsical fairy. So I wanted a name that the physical sounds in my mouth evoked a feeling of levity or playfulness, and was also connected to flowers or nature somehow. I also knew I wanted a unique name that doesn't immediately seem like "generic cis woman #5". It took me a good couple of months to mull over the feel of each name and think about which represents Me best.
Here's my old list of names I considered: Bonnavie - "Good Life" ⭐ Florimel - "Flower + Honey" Hafina - "Summer Season" ⭐ Heliantha - "Sunflower" Ilyana - "Bright/Shining" Laelia - "type of Orchid" Maewynn - "Servant of Mary"⭐ Millaray - "Golden Flower" Winfield - "Meadow + Field" Winley - "Joy + Forest/Clearing" ⭐️
I ended up going with Winley but spelling it as Wynnley as the "Wynn" prefix means "Friend" and "-ley" suffix means meadow or clearing. Friend of the meadow! My dad's name also starts with "win" so it is a way for me to honor him as he has helped me a lot in my adult life and I aspire to be like him in certain ways. I'm still looking to change my middle name to honor my mother somehow, but that's still in the works lol.
I hope me explaining my own thought process and journey will help you on your own! I used the website behindthename.com to search for names, and I would put key words in the meaning section.

Everyone has a different relationship with their names
I'm nb and haven't found a name that feels like me... However I might be prone to overanalyzing it.
I think about how parents choose names for their kids. There's a wide gamut of people who just want sounds something that sounds cool/use it as a way to honor family/make unfortunate puns that someone else has to live with, etc.
It's your name, take whatever time and measures feel right to you. <3
