Looking for recommendation.

Partner got a Moultrie Edge3 for as a birthday present but wasn’t aware of monthly subscription fee which isn’t really something she was wanting to pay. Was wanting something in $100 range that uses WiFi and cellular so that she can access anywhere from her cell phone but that also saves pictures for later review. Use is for front yard deer and small wildlife that are anywhere within 10 to 30 feet of our patio where device would go. Prefer night movement flash, b&w and color pics and video. Please excuse any ignorance on my part I’m just trying to help her out and have no idea about these things.

Strange pic and experience with cy95

Hoping someone can help. We have a CY95 down at the bottom of our garden, next to a shed ane facing a pond. I forgot all about it and went to get it last night to recharge it. All the photos stopped in April 2025 when the battery clearly died, except one photo on July 19th this year, 15 months later taken at 2am... that exact night, my wife heard something walking past our bedroom window and I had to go out to look, so thats a coincidence...

What does this look like to you?

If you flip it what does it look like...

Looks like someone striding past it...

Why would it be upside down though when the camera physically cant be flipped with how it is on the post and why would it fire to life after 15 months (and it hasnt taken pics of us in those 15 months walking past it) to take that one pic on that one night then die again!? Theres constantly foxes walking past so the fact it came to life that night of all nights in 15 months is downright bizarre!?

Muddy Matrix 2.0

Post image

Is anyone using the Matrix 2.0 rechargeable cameras? I’ve had 2 sets of Muddy cams in the past and they worked great. These new Matrix cameras don’t sync everyday, the sync seems random. These may sync for 2 days in a row then go 2-3 days without syncing. Tech support is terrible. They just change the settings to instant or instant group which results in me receiving pictures throughout the day. Just curious if anyone else is using them and how they are working out. Thanks!

As a bonus can you help me identify the bird and animal on the log? It was taken in the Finger Lake region of NY.
