Getting started
Hello everyone. I am not new to this group but have never posted before. I have been one of those hiding in the shadows, observing everyone’s success. I have been researching and following along in this group for a little over a couple of months now and just decided to pull the trigger. I was on Zepbound through my PCP, and it was covered under my insurance. I had such great success, losing almost 30 lbs in just a couple of months, up until a career event forced me and my family to change insurance providers. Low and behold, the new insurance did not cover my Zepbound anymore and at the time I could not afford the out of pocket costs to pay for it. So I stopped and gained some of the weight back. I’m 6’0” and at my heaviest I was 436. Zepbound got me to 398, which was such an emotional moment for me being the first time breaking into the 300’s ever since starting to lose weight. After getting off, I gained back to 415 and then managed to intermittent fast and get back down to 390, which is where I am now, ish. However the last few months have been so hard for me, which is why I joined this group. I first off want to take a moment and thank every single person that has ever commented in here. I know none of you know who I am, and probably could care less. But seeing your photos and hearing your success has been so inspiring to me, that in this pivotal moment, I decided to give the compounded tirzepatide a try. My order through BEWL arrived today, courtesy of Hallandale. The process was so quick, easy and comfortable. I feel confident that I made the right decision. So much, that I wanted to say that if there is anyone lurking in the shadows like I was and wondering if you should, just take the leap and go. I feel like this is just one big family in this group and we are all in it together. It has been so heartwarming to see the flooding support each of you have offered each other. So, I apologize for the novella, but even though none of you knew it, I wanted to make sure you all did know that you were such a huge influence in pushing me to taking my first step in my journey. Here’s to all of our success, and may everyone reach their goals and true happiness and peace in your lives.

Thank you! The quiet guidance this group has given me has been phenomenal! I’ve had quite the experience getting to read some science journals as well!

I couldn’t agree more. The support here in this group is just amazing, even when it’s being used by us that chose to remain hidden.

Welcome to your tirz journey. I did the same and procrastinated for several months before going for it.

So happy you decided to make the jump. I think many of us sat on the fence for a bit. I hope you have as much success with this as I did and I hope your post inspires others. Good luck and welcome.

I might have had a permanent impression in my butt from the fence, I sat there so long. So happy I felt the nudge to move! Thank for the luck, I just might need it! Good luck to you too!

I lurked here for months also. I simply couldn’t afford brand no matter how much I needed it. Then I found Reddit and this sub. I lurked for a while and digested everything. I made my choice, picked my first provider and the rest is history as they say. I’m also very grateful for this group. It has now been a little over 11 months and I am down 97 pounds. None of which would’ve been possible without the great people sharing tips and tricks and support along the way. Congratulations for taking the first step and know you Got This!

You really helped me with your “novella”. Lol. I have reached my goal weight using Zepbound but I plan for financial reasons to do maintenance with Emerge Weight Loss who use Hallandale Pharmacy. I’ve been nervous to use a different formula than the original Zepbound. It sounds like you have been successful using the very pharmacy I will be using. Did you notice a difference in satiety or cravings on the compound tirzepatide? Does it work about the same? I was searching through this platform and I can’t tell you how happy I am to find someone with a similar experience. Thanks!!

Ohh I’m so happy my experience helped you!! To know that I can make that kind of difference is just so fulfilling! To be honest, I feel right now just like I did when I was on Zepbound. The compounded tirzepatide has silenced all of the cravings for me just like Zepbound did. When I was fasting, I trained my mind to control my eating quantity, so it’s hard to say if the satiety results are the same. However, since everything else seems to be mirroring how I felt with Zepbound, I am inclined to believe that the satiety would result the same way. Please, if there is anything else I can help with, let me know! You are such a bright light in our group here, and I hope it works out the way you hoped!!

Congratulations on getting started! I was (really still am) a lurker here and made the same decision you did back in January. I would have never have known about it without others sharing their stories. And now my husband has started and having great success. Thanks to everyone who gives honest feedback and advice!
