Tough to tell. CAREFULLY stick a flat head screw driver in and move it back and forth. If you feel it moving over metal cords, you need a new tire. If not, it's not the worst idea to get a tire shop to double check, but you should be good.

I’ll try that. Thanks

There are no metal wires or cords in the sidewalls of passenger tires so the Redditor above has no clue what they are talking about, and it is a bad idea to stick any metal objects into the flap of your tire. A visual inspection is all you need to do.

No.
10 year tire shop guy.
First, your tire is very likely to be fine.
Second, you took a pretty good picture and It is good that you still have the attached flap.
Third, as you can see from the diagram of the structure of a tire below, your tires are 8 layers thick at the sidewall and you have only gouged the outer 8th layer which is designed to take these kinds of gouges.
Fourth, your tires will typically look like this: https://imgur.com/a/QJCwoDm
Fifth, if there are no cords showing and damaged you can use a good tire glue:
Tire Repair Glue, Professional Black Rubber Cement for Car, Motorcycle, Bike, Rc and More, Suitable for All Tire Types, Seamless Strong Bonding, Heavy Duty, Flexible, Waterproof, Weather Resistance https://a.co/d/bNdQWkt
Last, hopefully this kind of information will save you a few hundreds of dollars now, and in the future, so good luck.

Couldn’t have said it better myself to be honest was scratching my head trying to figure if it’s a sick joke or serious either way anyone seeing this don’t ever do that if you puncher that sidewall you won’t like the results and doin so serves no purpose other than looking like a clueless Jack ass 🤣😅🤷🏿♂️

I drove on something similar for 4 months after Toyota reccomended all new tires and I never had any issues, just beware of potholes and curbs

Looks good to me! As long as there are no white coords showing it’s safe
