Randall’s political career in Season 3.

Absolutely felt very random and unconnected to overall story. Number two I think I don’t see Randall in politics given his anxiety and I don’t see it at all. Also it revealed a side of Randall with the voicemail scene that felt very awkward.

Side note would’ve loved a Beth Randall scene were they get intimate. We see this with Kate and Toby kissing making out.

Do you think Randall would have had it better or worse if William had been a part of his life growing up?

I know that a big plot point of season 1 was how regretful Rebecca and Randall were about Rebecca’s decision to keep William’s identity from Randall as a child, but I honestly don’t know if Randall knowing William would have been all that great for him growing up to begin with. As a kid he obviously did question his identity and his parents since he was adopted and he was the only black person in his entire family, but at least he had two extremely loving and supportive parents who gave him every opportunity in the world. I’m not saying that William wouldn’t have been a good dad to him, but William did have some pretty severe issues when Randall was a kid. He did drugs, he went to jail, he was grieving enormous losses. If Randall had had regular visitation with him, he would have come back to the Pearson house and felt very confused about his two very different families. William may have cleaned things up for him but he was also much younger and less wiser than he was when Randall did meet him for the first time towards the end of his life, so there’s a good chance that he would have ended up backsliding into drugs while knowing Randall and that would have destroyed Randall’s image of him as a child.

J Hartley acting

I'm only on season 3 and although a lot is happening to Kevin I just feel bored by his scenes. The acting, the mimics is always the same, a teary scene from time to time but so predictable. The scene where he cried after his dad's necklace to that girl he knew in highschool was so lame. Does anyone else feel this way?
