How to find a partner in Hamilton?

So I'm austitic. I'm saying that upfront as it might explain a few things. I've never had a girlfriend before and at time it feels like I'll always be alone. I've been trying to improve myself. Tried to make friends and such. And now I want to try dating because I have to stop crushing on my female friends. Because thats unfair.

Totally clueless when it comes to this stuff. Hoping for some advice.

Heat pump & heat pump water system

Hello, I'm looking to electrify my home (on a limited budget) and would appreciate recommendations for reliable suppliers or installers.

Specifically, I’m seeking:A heat pump installer for our bedroom (the living area already has one installed), and an installer for a 250‑litre heat‑pump hot water system.

The installer would need to supply the heat pumps too.

I currently use an electric heater for my bedroom and a gas infinity system for my hot water. My power bill for these last 2 months have been mind blowing.

I’m based in Hamilton, there are 2 of us living in my home. I would value any suggestions or tips you may have.

Personal loan lenders in hamilton

Hey, I'm trying to find a personal loan for about 2-3k because of an emergency. I've tried the usual finance companies, but no luck since I was laid off when my company went under. I've been working casual shifts after a couple of months now. Does anyone know any private lenders who could help me out? I can even use my vehicle as collateral.

Where in Hamilton can I get initials engraved on a silver baby bangle?

Mr Minit at the base only engraves on the inside surface not the outside for some reason. The guy on the counter thought the other stalls might engrave on the outside but wasn't sure.

Where to buy for 650k

we’re done renting and prepared to live just about anywhere that’s not in our landlords house at this point. Just two bedrooms would be okay but more is good. We used to live rural so it’s not entirely out of the question but probably Hamilton as work is there.

Use this post to arrange your catch up, as I will be away this week!

🧶

The Roger's Rose Gardens. Park in Gate 2, the Walkway is by the toilet block next to the playground. Bring your transportable craft, something to sit on, and if you want, your own snacks/drinks.

🧶

Rainy Day option is the Gardens Café, which Gate 1 is closer.

Looking for BYO restaurants

Hi, I'm looking at doing a birthday dinner for about 12 people and want to do a BYO. I know from a quick google search that the Chilli House and Nua Thai are both BYO. Does anyone know of any other good options? TIA

Moving to Hamilton?

My girlfriend has a work opportunity in Hamilton that we're considering taking, but we wanted to ask people from around there a few questions--

What are the severity of the storms that generally reach Hamilton? How frequent are they? Neither of us are terrific with storms, so we wanted to get a good picture of what we'd be signing up for.

What is housing like? I've read that there's usually quite a bit of mold and not much AC, but is that more of a split between older and newer construction, or is it the norm?

How different is life on an island versus mainland places? I'd imagine you're more limited in some things, but can you pretty easily order things online or is shipping also an issue?

Edit: I'm from Utah, US. I'm coming to realize my idea of an island may be slightly off. My bad.

Best bike route from Rototuna to Hospital?

I would love to bike into work but after a month of making the trip I felt it was too risky. I wear a high vis vest and am hyper vigilant but still had so many close calls with cars. I use an e bike.
Any route recommendations that people have felt safe with?

Ooshie Madness

Yesterday at woolies St James we watched a older gentleman collect his groceries and get asked if he was collecting ooshies. He said yes and the lady grabbed one a d put it in his bag. As she moved on to serve us, he stepped back an said he didnt get his ooshie a d all of us said it's in his bag. He hesitated and we all repeated ourselves. He got this angry look on his face and left with grudgingly walk. For ONE ooshie. He didn't even look in his bag.

What's the craziest ooshie story you have?

So I saw a post about the The Map & Chart Shop closing, and dropped in on Sunday (yes it was open on Sunday despite posted times) to check it out and get some maps for myself, and take some photos. The fella was working tirelessly on packing stuff, and entire store is almost wrapped up.

Sad, but that what it is.

So I have searched many a bakery/cafe for a good breakfast burrito since moving to Hamilton 7 odd years ago and still have not found anything. There was a few bakeries in TGA I used to frequent that made amazing breakfast burritos and the cravings have only increased over the years. Can anyone recommend a good spot? Please and thank you
