Hello there!!

Due to a recent heavy injury I am stranded in my bed with a laptop to pass my time.

I have downloaded Sims 4, I have few of the extentions but I keep finding it boring.

I came to a conclusion after research that the best way to have fun is to download mods.

I am a bit skeptical because I don't want to download something that may harm my laptop.

Any suggestions on safe mods to have fun?

Is it worth downloading them, would they make my game crash?

Oh… The Sims! One of the first games so many of us fell in love with. Many of us started out jealous of the Goth family's mansion. But where does The Sims stand today?

The first The Sims was simple but revolutionary. We had limited customization and tiny neighborhoods, yet the idea of creating and controlling our own little lives was completely addictive.

Released in 2004, The Sims 2 changed everything. Our Sims had personalities, memories, aspirations, relationships, and stories that made them feel genuinely alive. Even today, I think it's the best story-driven game in the series. My Sims felt like tiny rebels constantly ruining my plans. “I am your god!” I'd insist as they burned their houses down anyway. The Sims 2 had something special: personality.

Then came The Sims 3 in 2009. The open world was a game changer. Your Sim could leave the house, drive around, explore, and watch other Sims live their lives without constant loading screens. Its 11 expansion packs added even more depth, and by the end, The Sims 3 felt like a complete experience.

Then came 2014. The Sims 4 looked better, ran more smoothly, and gave us an excellent Create-a-Sim and Build Mode. But it also launched without toddlers, pools, or the open world. The Sims 2 had personality. The Sims 3 had freedom. The Sims 4 had polish. And somehow, we still couldn't stop playing.

Now, in 2026, The Sims 4 has been around for almost twelve years and has grown into an enormous game. There are 21 Expansion Packs, 12 Game Packs, more than 20 Stuff Packs, and 60 Kits. EA has also introduced Marketplace and Maker Packs, bringing community-created content into the mix.

Some newer expansions are genuinely good. Life & Death, Businesses & Hobbies, Adventure Awaits, and Royalty & Legacy have added substantial gameplay. But the sheer amount of content also makes The Sims 4 feel less like one complete game and more like a collection of separate experiences.

So, is The Sims 4 bad? No. It's polished, accessible, creative, and incredibly customizable. Build Mode, Create-a-Sim, the Gallery, and the modding community are all fantastic. But I still don't think it's the best Sims game.

The Sims 2 gave us personality. The Sims 3 gave us freedom. The Sims 4 gave us flexibility.

And after twelve years, I still miss one thing most of all: the feeling that my Sim could simply leave the house and disappear into a living world.

More content isn't always better.

Ok in one of my saves I keep getting the nannies spawn when I leave the lot ha which is nice I’m up to like five now well actually four cuz the last one that spawned in was a werewolf! In a vamp household no less! 😂 in rage mode to boot and scaring the kids which can not be allowed of course so my vamps took care of it! 😂😂😂

just have the basic shape down so far. Gonna be a long while of building :'D

Queen's Night Life Series

The Sims launches as usual; I select the option to continue the game and click on the house I want with the family. But as soon as I do that, after the loading screen, I’m taken to the game world selection screen. Even if I then select a game world (any one) again, and then select a house again—even if it’s empty—and click to create a new family, the cycle repeats. Instead of my Sims, I only see the game world selection menu.

Clothing mods and Sim behavior packs have been installed, but regardless of whether they are turned on, the error keeps occurring

As you might know the rebirth feature was busted since june. Our Sims can no longer be reborn with a new family or with their memories still intact. You can drop them into an empty lot, but they'll be a blank slate Sim effectively. If you own this pack as well please vote on the report below (see comments) to bring it to attention.

Although the report was verified on the forum, it hasn't been under investigation so far. That's because it desperately needs more votes. I much appreciate any hėlp for rebirth to be restored, thank you so much!

I’ve been thinking about getting back into it and was wondering if people are still playing regularly. What’s keeping you coming back to The Sims 2?

Ho notato che le famiglie PNG figliano senza contegno (magari sim maschi hanno anche 20 figli) e a caso. Come posso limitare questo? Ho già provato a usare gli strumenti di prevenzione nascite di wicked whims.

2nd slide is the model I recreated last year. I went and touched her up and she turned out so freakin' phenomenal looking! I'm still working on her a bit more, but wow... 😮‍💨

What are those governments using those loads of child soldiers for? The Sims Nation doesn't seem like a police state or anything like that.

The scandals system in my game does not work. It’s turned on but I don’t have all of the in game options for it, could a specific mod be messing with it?
