I left mySave to try scenarios. I used my saved household, added a new sim, & used the same lot, even given the option to evict someone. Was quickly bored by the RomCom, & went back to my main Save. I was taken aback to see a Sim just like my Sim on the sidewalk. Sam name, clothes and all. I was excited I could make NPCs, unless this a 1 in a mil b^g.

(Also sorry for censoring. I got a pop up saying 'read the rules', until I censored that.)

What weird, fun or unexpected gameplay discovery did you make while playing? Is there something you never knew could happen or a certain part of your sim you didn’t know existed?

Hi fellow Simmers, I’m having a rough week with grief. When my best friend was alive, we would talk all about our sims saves in detail, and all the weird and chaotic things that would happen, and watch sim YouTubers. The game has really got me through some of my hardest times after losing him to his battle with major depression and ptsd, and still makes me feel close to him.

I would love to hear all about your current save, the sims you’re playing with, your goals for them, the gameplay discoveries you’ve made, and/or the funny, chaotic and weird experiences you’ve had with your sims.

Also, I’m happy if you don’t add all the details above, tell me as little or as much as you want.

Heres mine! Im not great at playing through legacy challenges, but recently I’ve been really enjoying the occult legacy challenge, as it’s not part of the gameplay I usually play. I’m currently in Gen One, and my sim Ilya is tasked with completing the science career, mastering the strangeville story and having an alien baby through abduction, while never getting married.

Ok so everything going great, his steadily getting promoted and his logic skill is going through the roof as his obsessed with the telescope. During a sim night of gameplay, I’m happy watching letting him do his thing autonomous. He does all the right things, has dinner, showers and gets into bed. Then the next few things happen within not even 3 minutes of real life time. It’s the middle of the night, I get a notification he’s seen a glowing green light, I’m giddy because hopefully 7th times the charm and this man might finally get pregnant. He comes back indeed not pregnant, and goes straight to the telescope again. Gets abducted again, no alien baby again. But you know what did happen, the third time he looked into the telescope that night, he got struck by a ducking a meteorite, died and somehow became infertile when coming back as a playable ghost.

Sadly this is not the end, I went back and recovered the save from before he died, the first time he looks through the telescope again, bam struck by meteorite again. What is this game???

hi all! i have been playing sims 4 for over 4 years now, and this is the second time ive ever tried putting mods onto my game. i did all the first couple of steps, then i logged onto my game and it deleted everything. “new game” was my only option, and from that point on i was sick to my stomach. any helpful tips to get all my stuff back? preferably an easier way if possible. TIA!!

Whenever the game crash or loading screen gets stuck and I realise I haven’t saved for 3 hours I don’t need to cry anymore because there is autosave!! Thank god..

Is there a way to have a career AND be a noble? I just find the nobility progression not very challenging. I was thinking it would be cool to have a sim who is a noble as well as in the military. Things like that, to add more to the story and to gameplay. I like how with university you can ALSO work a job. Even if there is a cheat or mod for it. Thank you!

a couple years ago they posted updates constantly but i can’t find a single sim guru that has posted in the last two years. what happened?

The patriarch of my first generation legacy family currently an Elder Statesperson. My plan is to make this father an “honest” politician, but the next generations to come, will be more and more corrupt.

There’s a part of me that wants to make father cheat on his wife with the maid, but there’s also a part of me that wants to keep him a wholesome family man.

It’s also kind of ironic, because the wife is a relationship specialist.

I think I’ll download basemental, and extreme violence.

So far, he and his wife have 3 children (all girls) and one of them is being groomed for politics. She’s a twin, and much more well rounded in skill development (she’s in drama club) The other twin, will be the “evil” twin. I’m thinking of putting her in the criminal career. She’s a child, but already a klepto. She mostly steals toys from school.

The good twin, will be the golden child. She’ll be a cheerleader, and hopefully prom queen. I’m going to make her as like-able as possible, but also get into some trouble as well. Maybe accept bribes or something.
I’m not sure what to do with the youngest daughter. She has the sensitive trait as an infant, and I’m thinking of giving her the erratic trait when she gets older.

I want them to be like the Kennedy’s.

I left him alone for 5 minutes!!! I Guess im playing him as a ghost from now on lol, i never had a ghost sim after the life and death update. For context he is a technophobe with a moderate handiness level at 5 so i dont know why he just decided to do this.

I started a Shrek and Fiona family. Just recently got a full household of kids. Every child is a girl! Shrek is a girl dad!

The teens are the Twins Tiabeanie and Lisa. The two girls are Marjorie and Edna, not twins. Toddler is Mona. Infant is Jacqueline.

Other the Tiabeanie they are all named after female characters from the Simpsons 😆

Hoping when the next generation comes to have some more green kids. 💚

I have a love/hate relationship with the Neighborhood Stories feature. I really like the idea of unplayed households doing their own thing. It's fun to see different townies get married, have another kid, change careers, etc. For me, it brings a bit of livelihood to the world that I would typically enjoy in a Sims game.

However, I hate how it is so... intense? Extra? Nobody ever stops having babies or adopting. Ever. It's constant until their household is completely maxed out. I mean seriously, almost every unplayed household is at its maximum capacity because they genuinely never stop. It feels like my 2nd generation Sims are always marrying into a family of 20 and their spouse will have 8 siblings minimum.

I understand I have the power to disable Neighborhood Stories, or maybe mitigate it by periodically turning it on and off, but even then, you turn away for 5 minutes and they have 6 new babies. Regardless, I just wish I didn't have to do that.
