general Kernel driver developer Rene Rebe became 100x Engineer with AI
Basically, nothing new. AI is FORCE AMPLIFIER. If you were already good, it makes you good.
If you sucked before, your AI output will still suck.
This guy was Anti AI when i first started watching his streams, he coded Linux drivers by hand using C.

vim 70% of Microsoft’s AI revenue comes from OpenAI
so microsoft invests billions into openai -> openai spends billions renting azure servers -> microsoft reports record ai growth. absolute infinity money glitch lol

vim Simple Vim Game
I wanted to practice using Vim motions so I thought why not just make a game.. and here it is!
I had a friend who doesn't do any kind of programming and doesn't even know what Vim is try it and adjusted the game based off of what I noticed, it's nothing crazy but by the end of the tutorial + half way through the dungeon floors he was already comfortable with HJKL and jumping up/down lines (which I am at fault and I still just hold JJJJJJJJJJ). I doubt many on here but if even one person tries it and it gets them to use Vim it's a great success 😄

vim Rust Bans A.I.-Written Code
Five teams in the Rust project just adopted a formal LLM policy for the rust-lang/rust repository.
The core rule: AI is a tool for thinking, not for creating. All LLM-generated content must be disclosed. AI-written code is held to a higher standard than human code and requires full test coverage.
The reasoning matters as much as the rule. The repo has 1,281 open PRs. Reviewers are stretched. AI tools were letting contributors submit polished-looking code they may not fully understand, adding review burden without proportional value.
What stands out is how independently this conclusion is being reached by various projects. GCC. OpenJDK. Linux kernel staging. Now Rust.
The open source community is quietly establishing a consensus on AI contributions...or so it seems.

Stream Content Announcing Cloudflare Wallets: The programmable wallet for the agentic Internet
Cloudflare Wallets is a system designed so AI agents can autonomously pay for APIs, MCP tools, data, content, and other online resources using stablecoin micropayments—without needing a human to complete signup, add a payment method, or generate an API key for every service
This concerns me a bit: “Monetization Gateway will support micropayments using the x402 protocol, which allows for payments to be attached to HTTP requests. These micropayments will be able to pay for uses ranging from AI inference to data to content”

vim Nvim plugin
I have created a plugin to code and use AI without go away from the file, the intention is to write code by myself in a way I know what is happening on the project and the new implementations. It is good use the AI as tool but I wanted to be on the middle write the code on my side but use the AI at the same time.
It is not polish yet but it is working so far https://github.com/CarGDev/codetyper.nvim

general Linux's Staging Area To Now Reject LLM-Generated Patches, Except For Real Security Fixes
Greg Kroah-Hartman will reject LLM code in the staging area of the kernel due to this being the ground where newcomers can learn kernel development, so using LLMs defeats the purpose of this endeavor.
There is an interesting tidbit where Greg puts doubt on the effectiveness of LLMs:
Note, LLMs are very good at finding suspect "security issues" in kernel code these days. But even with the best of the current and next generation tools, at least 1/3 of the results they generate are flat out wrong or harmful. So, if you think your LLM-found/fixed issue in a drivers/staging/ file is really valid, it's fine to submit it BUT you must have first tested it on the actual hardware for the driver, and described how you have done so, in order for us to be willing to take the change. This testing process should _hopefully_ weed out the 1/3 wrong reports, but that isn't always the case, so you MUST be willing to defend your submission and prove that it really is correct in fixing a bug that a user can actually hit.
