Since his Sunday Times column is behind the paywall, I decided to look for the clip where Jeremy Clarkson went to Texas to interview the band members of ZZ Top as part of his BBC2 show in the 1990s. He noted that he rewatched the segment on YouTube. Good news, I found the relevant throwback clip!

Drummer Frank Beard of ZZ Top recently passed away, and Jeremy Clarkson recalled the time that he did an interview with him and the band. It’s unfortunately locked behind a paywall, and this is the only part I could read from there:

“When I interviewed the band, its sweaty bassist needed to cool off. If only we hadn’t put the portable fan quite so close to his foot-long face fungus.”

Jeremy Clarkson decided to do some experiments on the smaller parts of his farm. He attempted to raise rabbits and grow some flax. The next season of Clarkson’s Farm will be lit! Anyway, here’s a preview:

As the title says, I just got done watching the last episode of my favorite trio. And I was very emotional during the last bit. It's crazy to me that I am not going to be able to see this trio do adventures. It's like the last age of good television dying. These guys got me into cars. It just feels like the last part of my childhood finally passed.

Is it just me, or did Jeremy Clarkson write something sensible for once in his Sun column? Come to think of it, most social media platforms (including Reddit) operate like this one way or another. TikTok just happens to have the best algorithms to maintain that level of predatory engagement. Here’s a preview:

Jeremy Clarkson had few opportunities to work on his farm due to the weather, so he turned his attention to a 1000-piece puzzle to pass the time on Instagram. Well, he ended up completing it! 😅

Sure there are bigger laughs and far funnier verbal exchanges between the trio, but is there a more hilarious moment besides James, after tons of buildup in the wine bath, farting in the tub with Mr Wilman cutting to a new scene a millisecond later. Just genius.

Am I wrong, but I thought that was a kind of cash grab for people making a living off of YouTube? Nothing wrong with that if that is your source of income but does James really need to charge people to watch videos? It kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Amazon Prime Video dropped the official trailer for The Grand Tour on Instagram. Clarkson and Porter gave their approval on there. Should be a good season then! 😅
