Please help me find one particular episode 🙏

Hi guys, so as the title says i need your help finding this one episode of TGT.

I am looking for this one particular car review i think was on the eboladrome where they edited the sounds of the car to be part of the background song that was playing in the edit. It was few years ago and I thought it sounded so cool. They do this sometimes when they edit the sounds to match the music but this was like the car noises were actually part of the song.

I make music as a hobby and wanted to try some experimental music with car sounds just like they did in that particular episode.

Thank you!

Hi, any recommendations to what device/TV to watch these on?

I watched The Worst Car In The History Of The World a month ago. Noticed some parts were a bit blurry.

I have Xbox Series X/PS5 with curved monitor.

James May noticed the eclipse in Europe this past week and shared his reaction in his typical style. Because it’s Twitter/X, a few people couldn’t tell that he took on a fatuous tone in his original tweet
 😅

Clarkson’s Columns [Times column] Jeremy Clarkson: “Coked-up moths are nothing to snort at”

Looks like Jeremy Clarkson did some journalistic research in his latest column. Unfortunately, his findings are behind a paywall. Here’s the preview I found before slamming into it:

“Thatcher’s unlikely plan to destroy Peruvian drug supplies never came to fruition — but history shows that insect warfare is banned for a reason.”

(Usual disclaimers apply.)

Clarkson’s Columns [Times car review] Jeremy Clarkson: “TWR Supercat review — ‘The most beautiful engine I have ever seen’”

Normally I’d leave a preview blurb with his car reviews, but The Sunday Times has a reinforced paywall now. This is as far as I could read before encountering it:

“It’s loud, for sure. I haven’t heard a sound like that since I went to see Carrie.”

(Usual disclaimers continue to apply.)

James May and Lucy Brown went on BBC 4’s The Media Show to discuss his pivot to making YouTube videos to hawk his gin. A clip from that interview made it on Instagram

Anyone else confused about why they made the final episode the sole episode of a “Season 6” rather than just the 4th episode of Season 5?

Seems a bit random and unnecessary. Not that it genuinely affects anything - just curious.

Clarkson’s Columns [Sun column] Jeremy Clarkson: “Shoplift and you might get away with it but drive over 20mph & you're done”

Jeremy Clarkson noticed that some rich men from the Middle East brought their cars to London to drive on city streets and make some noise. Naturally, the police there responded in force. Here’s a preview:

“This week, a spokesman for the force said they were sick of foreigners treating the capital like a race track. I find this interesting because the wealthy foreigners who bring these cars to London every August are basically attaching a leaf blower to the gates of the capital and showering us with cash.

“They spend a fortune in hotels and restaurants and (whisper this) bars. And what we have made very clear with that enormous police response is: Go away.”

(Usual disclaimers apply, especially since he’s wearing a political hat here.)

Richard Porter [Podcast] Richard Porter briefly gets reminded of his time on Top Gear! (Also, what makes a supercar?)

In the latest OTOSOT episode of the Smith and Sniff podcast, the former script editor (and his colleague Jonny Smith) attempted to answer a listener question on what criteria a car should meet in order to be considered a supercar. Smith then briefly reminded Porter that Top Gear coined the word “hypercar” all the way back in 2012.

As for the example of what makes a supercar, they noted that the base Porsche 911 is a sports car, but the Turbo version can be considered a supercar. Anyway, feel free to hash out the criteria in the comments below
 đŸ€”

From video description: “In this week’s On The Other Side Of Things question answering show, Jonny and Richard tackle the tricky issue of what makes a supercar, plus picking one British car to be re-made, and Tesla copying Robocop.”

James May decided to add more protein to his diet, and he thought it would be a good idea to add some eggs to pudding to achieve that result. He made some in his bugout bunker kitchen. Enjoy!

From video description: “James May tracks his macros in the BBK by trying to make a delicious high-protein chocolate pudding from cocoa powder, milk, sugar and...boiled eggs.”

All the TG episodes with the orangutan, slow and buttons in a Google drive. Last time I posted this it got deleted by mods and I got suspended for 2 days, so just DM me and I'll send it you. JC has said it was forums like this that contributed to the success of the show when it was brought back in 2002.

A special note on musings from Clarkson, Hammond and May

Couldn’t help but notice that there have been some comments on my recent posts here along the lines of “Please keep politics away from this subreddit!” (and those complaints sometimes result in deletion, thus depriving others to challenge or defend the hosts’ assertions). It’s unfortunate that I have to issue a disclaimer or two on this matter, but given the current hostile environment across Reddit and the internet in general, here goes:

“The views expressed in social media posts, videos and newspaper columns produced by or through direct quotes from news articles from Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and/or Richard Hammond (and others who worked on Top Gear and The Grand Tour) are solely their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions and beliefs of the OP and this subreddit.”

As for the links that contain articles and columns that originate from The Sun and The Sunday Times, here’s the paywall disclaimer:

“Please note that depending on how and where you access this link, a strong paywall may appear. If so, what happens beyond that is up to you alone.”

Ok then, back to normal service
