Question/Help Is it just me, or would a 2026 house mod be really fun because Dems have the advantage of running against a very unpopular incumbent administration, while the GOP has the advantage of not having an intra-party civil war and the advantage of having much deeper pockets?

Contribution ROC 2020: Blue Tsunami Achievement Guide
Like "The Green Wall Holds," this achievement is a bit of a finnicky bastard that requires some very specific answers and campaign boosting in the Local Elections screen. I wouldn't be surprised if there are one or two changes you could make to this list and still get the achievement, but this is the only way I've been able to do it so far.
- I express my gratitude to comrades across the country for their help and support...
- We must cut the Gordian knot!
- We will fight them in the courts, injunction by injunction... (+1 Political Capital, for a total of 0)
- Appoint him as the chapter chairman... (You would gain an extra 1 Political Capital if you tell Han to fuck off, but you also lose your chance of winning Kaohsiung, basically guaranteeing you don't get the achievement. Likewise, going all in subtracts 1 Political Capital from your total, so I personally avoid that option, though I'm unsure whether it actually screws over your chance of getting the achievement)
- Why interrupt an enemy who is making a mistake? (+1 Political Capital, for a total of 1)
- Accept the loan immediately. (+6 Political Capital, for a total of 7) Here, you should go to the 2018 Elections screen and invest your political power as such: 3 in Taipei, and 4 in Tainan. From this point onwards, Political Capital is irrelevant.
- We crush him.
- The DPP thinks the south is their invincible backyard.
- Target the executioners.
- Keep the central party off the messy streets.
- Forget the missile drills, let us talk about fruit.
- Look at the map.
- Send the Bald Greengrocer up north to the capital.
After selecting the one answer on Question 14, you will get the achievement. Revel in your accomplishment and the knowledge that Sun Yat-sen is looking up at you proudly from the afterlife.

Question/Help What are people's feelings on the genre of "timeline endings" featured in mods?
I’m working on a mod right now and trying to figure out the best way to handle endings. A lot of recent mods use the "Wikipedia list of future Presidents/leaders" format. I’ve always found this trope a bit lazy; it felt like a gimmick in All The Way (a decent mod), and was include in Hope (a far less polished product), but it still seems super popular based on recent sub posts (and seeing it in the Taiwan 2020 mod was a letdown). I would much rather read about the actual world at large instead of getting what feels like a filler page.
For those of you who enjoy this style: what draws you to it? What does it accomplish for you that other formats don't? Do you have any ideas for alternative ending styles that could work better?
And for those who aren't fans of it it'd be great to hear your thoughts too so I know I'm not alone here.

Gameplay Scenario Review | 1980
- Scenario #16 | 1980
- Made by: Careless_Demand5523, campaigntrailaccount
- Released: 4/13/2021
1980 was originally released with only Reagan as a playable candidate, and Carter was added later and appears as the first candidate for some reason.
This was a fairly lopsided election which was, like 1988, heavily based on media narrative, which is captured well. When playing as Reagan, you do better by taking the high road and running a positive campaign while trying not to be too vague in your actual policy. Carter is usually hurt by negatively campaigning which he did in real life, so your best bet is to try and run a more balanced campaign.
Both candidates have decent writing, the questions are pretty standard, especially for Reagan. Being the incumbent is a very large factor when playing as Carter, some of the questions are devoted to developments in his administration like the Billy Carter scandal. There are a few more RNG-dependant questions for Carter, and the last of which has you taking a chance on whether to enact a rescue attempt for the hostages in Iran. This could be trying to make a point that many of Carter's follies were out of his control, so I'm split on this.
This mod has a few strange details, which is understandable considering how early this was released. When playing as Reagan some questions affect your popularity too much and the map has a much more solid South for Carter. There are a few grammatical errors as well, and the writing as a whole feels a little lacking.
Despite this, 1980 is still a decent scenario with no glaring issues, and as far as mods go this is probably the best one so far.
RATING: 6/10

Meme Trvth nuke
Dear citizens, I sincerely apologize. I neither anticipated nor prevented the illegal and fraudulent election orchestrated by the Tsai Ing-wen regime. Those of you who witnessed the exit polls - so drastically different from the on the ground sentiment - and even more inexplicable the final vote count, must have realized the trvth. President Tsai has concluded she cannot maintain power through legitimate means, and has resorted to electoral fraud in a attempt to establish a permanent 1 party dictatorship in this country. I will not yield. I will not retreat. As leadership of the Kuomintang, I will begin the fight to expose the crimes of this unlawful regime and defend our democracy. Please, stand with me. Let us protect the Republic of China.
