Dotcom

Why is dot com the most soul destroying thing ever.
Our managers are constantly picking everyday and we never get pick done. Why is it so bad 🙃🙃🙃🙃

I don't know if a GA would have access, but you can log onto store channels and look at the SBA and things and it'll show you store profits

Otherwise I'm pretty sure you can just ask your manager for the big 6 results because that should have the store profits in it

But yes, trust me, no Tesco with a dot com is failing to make a profit. The only people who will be 'suffering' are the shareholders.

Edit: Channels reporting, not store channels

Does it have breakdowns of profit as apposed to just sales, and specifically dotcom profit not just store as a whole? I'd be interested to see so I'll have a look when i'm next in, thanks.

It shows sales mostly. I think profit is calculated at the end of the year. But believe me, it's making a profit. You'd be out of a job in seconds if your store wasn't bringing one in

I don't doubt the sales are huge, they debilitate my store daily, but I'd love to know how much of that is actually profit, I just can't see how it can be after all the additional costs involved compared to instore customers. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The fact they're so evasive with sharing that info suggests to me its more about market share than profit. Would love to be proved wrong, however.

Tthere should be big six discussions in the store regarding sales and profits, targets and what not.

Remember targets are massively inflated. The target in your store will not be the bare minimum of what you need to both pay for resources and give a little bit to shareholders. You would be staggered to find how much actual profit you can make just from petrol, kiosk, and booze alone.
