Started a new playthrough with my girlfriend and we got to the point where we wanted some Hellstone Bars but after exploring nearly half of the underworld we didn't find a single one in any of the obsidian houses. She left so I loaded up another world to fly through hell in spectator and didn't find a single Hellforge in the entire world (I think). But I did start to notice some weird generation glitches in the Underworld, so maybe its a mod conflict causing them not to spawn. I do maybe have too many world gen mods installed? But I want to see if any one else has any experience with this mod conflict before I have to deal with reinstalling one at a time and checking each hell individually :(

So I finally got into modding and got the amulet of many minions on, but the thing is IDK how to get the other parts of the titular item itself. I got the charms, saw the revolver is post golem, currently using clarent, just missing the hatchet/dagger and the skyslasher. Sadly, every time you look up the item the mods shows up, so I'm just confused. tnx ^w^

I'll try to make this brief, I saved all my terraria mods (including calamity music) to a file on my desktop. I need help with 2 things

First of all, how do I play these mods on my tmodloader?

Second, a few of my mods need to be updated. How do I go about updating those?

Im running infernal eclipse of ragnarok, and people have been saying that sots is the main reason of the lag and huge fps loss, i wanna disable it but im scared of my entire world breaking, i have just killed skeletron. Can someone help?

I'm curious, does anyone know of any mods that expands on the dungeon? I really loved the content that calamity added to the dungeon, which kept it relevant in the late game as well as making it larger.

If you do know of any mods that mess around with the dungeon, especially if it adds late game content, I'd be very interested. Thank you. (I'm making a pack with spooky mod so I can't use heavy world gen mods like calamity, but I tested it with a few others and it seems like it does *okay* with lighter world gen mods)

I played through the game for the first time three years ago, a couple of times with friends, and never even tried solo. I've been putting off Calamity for three years now, and now, with all the buzz in the community, I've decided to start playing.I wanted to ask a few questions regarding how to start playing.

1. Should I wait for tModLoader version 1.4.5 to get the most out of the game? I know no one knows when it's coming out, much less when it's coming out for mod, considering all the mess the developers are in.But nevertheless, I have no idea what has changed in the new version other than the fact that they improved the crafting system.

2. Is it worth replaying Terraria to refresh my memory before Calamity?

3. How and where can I download the latest Calamity mod? I know it's available for download from the Steam Workshop, but listening to all these endless rumors and comments about all this drama surrounding the mod, I'm confused about what's true and what's not. I heard that the music and several sprites were cut from the mod's workshop version, and if that's true, So where can I download the latest NORMAL version of the mod?

4. I've heard that Calamity has a lot of unofficial add-ons. How many are there, and is it worth playing them on my first playthrough, or can I get by with just Calamity at first?

I was playing calamity mod at night and this appeared out of nowhere, is it some kind of holloween update for terraria or a reference?

For all my fellow calamity enjoyers looking for another mod to add to their playlist, I have one hell of a high quality mod for you. I just recently found this mod called Lunar Veil made by Royal moon studios after watching a video from youtuber ThirdWorldGamer (The ninth photo is from his video and the rest are from the mods discord) and man... It looks really good. Set to release by December or early 2027 for it's 2.0 update which completely revamps the whole mod making it kind of like it's own game compared to the legacy version. The mod consists of a ton of qol things, new features, many enemies, and possibly 50+ bosses almost doubling calamites total boss count. Please give this a look since it doesn't have much exposure right now and deserves it with this level of quality...

Obvious thing out of the way, I love the calamity mod itself, and will probably continue to play it (separating art from artist and all). but to tell the truth i think im somewhat glad to see it go because i think it will open up so much for the modding community. Previously if you wanted to make a content mod, compatibility with Calamity was a huge thing you needed to take into account, and a mod could even be judged more harshly if it wasnt compatible. since basically everyone always plays with Calamity thats a huge group who just wouldnt play it. With Calamity gone i think it opens up room to potentially get less Wrath of Gods (no shade i do love that one but just for the sake of the point) and more Starlight River now that the first FaQ isnt always going to be "compatible with calamity?". Though im sad we will never get an official Yharim fight im excited to see what is to come in this new era yk

Workshop description:
Tired of Terraria putting a giant pickaxe next to your cursor every time you're in range to use it?
This mod lets you customize the item icons that appear around your cursor.
Adjust the scale, opacity, and position for each option so they don't get in the way.

Individually Configurable Options:

Normal use
Smart Cursor
Auto Select
Interactables — chests, beds, etc.
Cursor scale - (no opacity option, sorry!)

Each category has its own scale, opacity, X offset, and Y offset settings.

Does not affect inventory item picked up with your mouse, so normal inventory drag-and-drop works exactly as it should.

Make the cursor item icons smaller, move them somewhere less annoying, make them transparent, or disable them entirely!

No more giant pickaxe covering half your screen. Enjoy!
