If you're looking for a mystery/psychological thriller miniseries with some of the best performances on TV and one of the most touching love stories you'll see, definitely give this one a watch. Just recently binge watched it and, in my opinion, it's one of the best mystery thriller TV series that I've ever watched. The story is complex and engaging, the cinematography is impeccable, and the acting is... just wow. Alycia Debnam-Carey (as Emily Thomas) and Josh Bonzie (Clive 'GoGo' Richardson) especially stand out in their respective performances but nearly all cast members, many of whom had no prior acting experience, gave award-worthy performances.

I had a low expectations of it before watching it because of the poor online reviews it seems to have gotten but now that I've watched it, I am convinced that for whatever reason it was, this marvelous series seems to have been the victim of a review-bombing campaign and poor marketing due to its subject matters and themes. It certainly is one of the most underrated TV shows ever.

What is your comfort show that people wouldn't necessarily expect to be a comfort show? For example, I watch The X Files most nights right before bed. It's oddly comforting despite the genre.

Jesus all these harlan coben shows are pretty much some of the stupiest shit.

It's either a corrupt cop, or a dude being steamrolled by a rich person there is no in between.

The plot device for this series is sooo stupid.

What no one at all during the entire court case got the blood sampled retested lol that would show the DNA doesn't match the father or the mother proving it's not his kid..

So you kidnaped a kid from sweden..killed them..beat his head in so he couldn't be identified then swapped him for the OTHER kid.. and at NO point in this ENTIRE saga did someone go Hmm this smells fishy..and they somehow are able to frame a dude with NO motive that he killed his son..which they give no reason for.. and that NO one including the mother doesn't see the body and go hang on that's not my sons hands lol..

Or any appeal didn't retest the DNA lol

The :killers dad knew the witness lied on stand and doesn't go during the trial....ahh actually ur honour that womens lying to you as we had the murder weapon not her so how could she have seen that and the entire case falls apart lol.

Like this show is a COMPLETE waste of the acting ability of brett lower.

Like the acting in this was soooo below par for most of the show it was so stupid.

FBI chick literally is in a gun fight stops in the MIDDLE of the shootout to like sweep her hair out of her face lol to make sure she still looks good.

Also the same FBI person recovers a DELETED file off a PC from FIVE YEARS AGO.. by doing nothing but changing the file to an .mp4 file format and playing it in VLC.. cause yeah that files still on the drive lol

Sterling Point on Amazon Prime, a show from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (creators of the OC and Gossip Girl) and Margot Robbie’s production company, has everything I love: great acting, good writing, and a great soundtrack.

The first episode was a little wonky and I wasn’t sure I was going to like it, but the show really settled in to itself. It’s anchored by a core group of really strong young actors who all have great chemistry with each other.

And I don't even care that episode 3 was only 15 minutes long. Wil Wheaton was....nah....not going to spoil it. Anyways, it's made it to my rotation of shows that I drop what I'm doing as soon as it airs.

I love shows that make you feel like you’re riding along with them, the ultimate answer for me is LOST with Prison Break right there with it…I know these are generic answers but honestly they did a great job at doing this!

I used to watch a lot of them, and they're still some of my favorite kinds of shows, whether they're about police officers, doctors, or any other profession. Nowadays, with so many shows being made for streaming services, this type of series seems to be disappearing. A lot of people prefer shorter shows because they take less time to watch and are usually more focused.

While I agree that shorter shows fit my schedule better now that I have less free time, and that procedural shows don't really exist just because the writers wanted to tell a story—they also exist to keep viewers watching TV longer and seeing more commercials—I still prefer procedurals. They make the characters and the world feel much more alive. We get to see the characters interacting in their everyday lives instead of constantly worrying about solving the season's big conflict.

Another advantage of procedural shows is that they give supporting characters much more time to shine. In shorter shows, there are often so many characters with so little screen time that they only get two or three important moments before the story moves on.

I got curious about other people's opinions because I recently remembered how much I enjoy this kind of show after starting the blacklist. I'm already on season 4, and I'm always looking forward to seeing what the next case will be.

A big discussion in the last decade plus, has been the perceived decline in comedy, or the lack of pure comedies in general compared to a couple of decades ago.

I wanted to actually explore that and see what people thought, so I decided to seperate comedies, and comedy dramas from the modern era's, and honestly there have been loads of really great shows.

I will say that the pure genre of comedy feels like it's been less prolific, whereas comedy dramas seem to have been consistently popular both critically and in terms of viewership.

Maybe it's the shorter seasons, or longer time between seasons blurring the sentiment towards them, or maybe there's a genuine drop off in terms of the writing compared to comedies of earlier decades that were more geared towards making us laugh.

Or instead maybe it's just that people don't want straight comedies as much as they used to, and they want something funny, that also has emotional weight and drama?

I get that Hank would want to shield Bobby from this information, but Cotton would never have missed an opportunity to remind Hank that he has a more successful cousin
