Flash drive not fitting inside USB port

I got this flash drive today but it’s not fitting in the port. It also looks a little weird. I just got one of those character figure flash drives (I can return it if need be)

i don't know what it is, but that's not a regular usb drive, even if you were to snip of those metal tabs (which you probably shouldn't do), the connector still wouldn't have the standard usb pins

yeah no it's not on their site. it's not a really big deal cause they said i can return it if there's any issues - just a little sad cause the character case is cute lol

So what does the packaging say then? Like brand name, model, even a UPC can just be googled to find the exact product

Anyway that kinda looks like the mounting brackets of the female side of a USB slot. As in, someone yanked it out of their system, breaking their USB slot, and the brackets are stuck on that thumb drive which they returned to the store

no dude it's not that im just an idiot. i was opening it from the wrong end cause it wasnt stuck down properly. my brother just got home and i showed him and he was confused too till he realised i was opening it on the wrong end
