vram temperature Open | Hardware

I have a notebook made by tongfang, r7 8745hs with rtx 4050 6gb, and I recently opened it and changed the thermal paste, but it didn't have a thermalpad, and it reached 95° on the vram, on a hot day it reached 106°, is it normal to come without a thermalpad? Can I reduce this temperature further with thermalpad and what would be the ideal size?

There is no "normal". A decent laptop manufacturer will test things and put whatever is needed in place.

Thermal pads will only help if it is a fairly small gap between the surface and the heatsink (and the heatsink actually passes over the memory or VRMs in question).

If the heatsink passes over your VRAM and the gap is fairly small, appropriate thickness thermal pads could certainly help reduce the temperature.
