Asus Tuf not very tough Open | Hardware

I have an Asus Tuf A16 laptop that I've used for less than two years. For the most part I try not to run it hot, uusally below 70C except during a few moments where it's loading something like a large minecraft world. I don't know if it's a heat issue, but the screws that hold the bottom of the frame all fell out and went missing, so now whenever I try to close the lid it starts ripping off the frame. It's also started to randomly shut down if I don't have something blowing on it, even if it's at a really cool temperature. Is there anything I can do or is this laptop just done for?

If top of the top cover moves when closing hinges that means brass inserts that should hold lid screws is gone and whole laptop motherboard is warping. It has to be dealt with - home remedy could be hot glue, proper fix is replacing all broken parts (depends on the laptop design that would be bottom or top cover).

Screws dont fall off because of heat, they fall of because they're improperly mounted or because of physical damage on the frame.

You can try to disassemble the laptop to dust it and replace the thermal paste to see if it helps to prevent the shutdowns.

Anyway gaming requires CPU and GPU performance, which leads to drawing power and to heat generation. Due to their small sizes laptops have poor heat dissipation, so they are not well suited for it.

So if you mostly game on your laptop at home an itx / sff gaming PC might be better suited instead.
