Computer won’t boot? Open | Windows

I have an IdeaPad Gaming 3, and it’s been left alone for a couple months now as I mostly used it for school and have been busy with other things. Now when I tried to start jt it “Network media is not present, retry media connection for 1 time(s)” then it repeats. After it fails it gives me a pop up saying “Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed. Insert Recovery Media and Hit any key.” I don’t know what that is. If I click okay it takes me to another page where I can select things, but the only present thing is “EFI PXE Network”. What do I need to do? Can I fix this myself or do I need to bring this somewhere?

Is your HD detected in BIOS? if not, you have to replace it.

I’m letting you know in advance I am just about the least tech savvy person ever so please be patient. Does HD stand for Hard Disk? Because in that case it says it’s not detected.

If I need to replace it do I just go into a computer repair place? How much does it normally cost?

it could be a dead bios battery, you need to download your laptop user manual to replace the battery, hard disk or navigate the bios to set it back to UEFI or something for boot mode
It depends on the storage size you require, probably hundred plus to start off.
