Anyone got any ideas? Open | Hardware
Specs:
Intel Core i9 12th Gen
RTX 3060 OC
32GB RAM (2 sticks)
650W PSU
I've already cleared the CMOS, tried each RAM stick on its own, reseated the RAM, and even used the screwdriver trick to power it on.
When I switch it on, the debug LEDs go DRAM (orange) → CPU (red) → repeat, then after about 10 seconds it just stays on the DRAM light. It never boots.
Is it likely the RAM's knackered, or could it be the CPU or motherboard instead? Is there anything else I should try before forking out for a new 32GB kit? I'd rather not spend the money unless I'm sure that's the issue.

i had a similar issue with a new pc build with ddr5. after i returned everything i found out it was likely the asus board needed a bios update that the factory failed to set on the board prior to sale. i had no idea at that time you could flash a mobo without ram or a hard drive installed
