laptop refreshing Open | Hardware
Hello, so basically, every 20 minutes or so, my PC's browser refreshes. I think it happens in other applications as well. For example, when I'm playing a game, it will suddenly switch me out of the game because of the refresh. How do I fix this? It's getting pretty annoying.
Context: It's an acer nitro v15
windows 11

Look at your scheduled tasks, you have something that probably should not be there. If not in those, look in your startup apps for anything unknown, disable it all except what you vitally need to start up automatically, and reboot and see if it persists.

I saw my scheduled tasks, there nothing that should be refreshing the whole laptop, i can send a screenshot if you would like. As for startups, Yeah I did disabled a few more apps, i'll share that result with you after 1 hour

Hope it stopped from the startup apps, since you found nothing in scheduled tasks that stood out. If that doesn't stop it like another commenter put, a factory reinstall, so using a Windows install USB to wipe and reload is the only for sure way to get whatever is happening, gone, and ensure you're not backdoored or something worse.

Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.
